Clients state lack of drive as a reason not to invite candidates back for second interview
or even as a reason for not offering the job. Candidates often ask how they can demonstrate
they have drive.
My answer to this is ask yourself these questions:
Why have I made the career choices I have? What am I doing in my own time or with my
own money to invest in my choice of career? What am I aiming for?
Drive, in my opinion is demonstrated through your personality. Reasons behind choices you
have made and the ability to evidence that you have sought out opportunity and have taken
responsibility for shaping your career. To help you to demonstrate this, my advice is
to think about what really motivates you, after all drive is a trait of being highly
motivated.
