I don’t know what words I would use to explain my experience at Victoria University. They’ve
opened up the doors for me. Very very fortunate that I’ve been supported through Victoria
University to have the opportunities that I now have. For the whole 3 years we got to
know each other really really well and kind of share stories and everyone in our courses
from such diverse backgrounds that it kind of enhanced our learning experience because
they offered insights that we wouldn’t have been able to read in a book. The lecturers
we also got to know in that period of time in the course because we tended to have them
for one or two classes each semester. Particularly Charles Mphande was an amazing help and support.
He definitely had a lot of personal experience and stories which meant learning a lot more
relevant to us and a lot more meaningful as far as the theoretical terms you can’t really
learn them from a book, it’s better to have a story, it wasn’t that kind of lecturer
/student divide it was more a friendly interactions which I really liked.
I can only say that it’s been a wonderful life experience. The important thing I’ve
done in this university is that support you get at Victoria University is unmatched. I
think the staff is very friendly, diversity of different kinds of student. Everyone should
consider that those things are very important in a whole learning environment. It’s a
great place to be guys.
