Hello. My name is Weare Gratwick,
and I'm a candidate for Peachtree Corners
City Council Post 6.
Thank you for taking the time
to visit my website to learn more
about this important inaugural election
for the City of Peachtree Corners.
One of the first questions I'm hearing is,
"What positions will I be voting for?"
and at first glance, this can be confusing.
I would like to take a moment
in one of the first of several informational
videos to clarify which positions
you will be voting for at the polls
on Tuesday, March 6.
You will have five City positions
on your ballot.
The first is Mayor, who will be Mike Mason,
running unopposed.
You will also have a City Council position,
determined by which district you reside.
There are three districts, so you will have
only one of those three positions
on your ballot.
You will vote for either Post 1, Post 2, or
Post 3, depending on where you live.
Everyone will vote on Post 4, Post 5, and
Post 6, which are at-large positions.
As outlined in Article II of the City Charter,
the initial terms are staggered, so that the
entire council does not turn over at one election.
Posts 2, 4 and 6 have
initial terms of two years.
The Mayor and Post 1, 3 and 5
are four year terms.
After the initial election,
all terms are for four years.
If you are unsure
which district you reside in,
please refer to my homepage,
on the web site, on the right hand side
under the voter information tab.
I have listed, for each post,
the subdivisions that fall
within those posts.
In fact, you will find that
a couple of subdivisions,
including North Manor and Peachtree Station
fall within two different posts.
I hope that you will find
this information useful,
and I look forward to
having more spots available
to help clarify the issues
and answer your questions.
If you have something you'd like to see
us address, please let us know.
Thank you again for a moment of your time
and I look forward to seeing you soon.
I hope that you will support me for
Peachtree Corners City Council.
