Volvo Trucks is now launching the next generation of heavy-duty vehicles:
The new FH series, containing a number of world-first innovations.
Design and function have gone hand-in-hand
when developing the new Volvo FH,
since functional design is vital when it comes to key factors
like safety, fuel economy and driver comfort.
By straightening the A-pillars and lowering the floor,
the cab of the new Volvo FH has an additional one cubic metre.
This improves the survival area for the driver.
Visibility has also been improved,
and an escape hatch has been installed in the roof.
Put together, this is the safest Volvo ever built,
which has been confirmed through a number of tough tests.
The bigger cab also offers the driver
a more ergonomic working and resting environment.
The dashboard has been optimised,
and by putting the most important buttons right in front of the driver,
they never have to take their eyes off the road.
Exceptional handling has also been a key factor in driver comfort,
and Volvo Trucks can now introduce the all-new Individual Front Suspension,
which results in a car-like driving experience.
To save fuel, the self-learning system I-See has been developed.
It reduces fuel consumption by up to five percent when driving on hills.
The new Volvo FH also has improved aerodynamics,
and it comes with the new Euro 6 driveline.
On top of that, Volvo Trucks offers a large range of new soft offers
that further improve the truck's fuel economy.
To guarantee maximum uptime, the new Volvo FH is equipped
with the smart communication system Telematics Gateway.
The system allows workshops to monitor a truck's status remotely.
This means a large number of un- planned workshop visits can be avoided,
and maximum uptime guaranteed.
In total, the new Volvo FH series offers exactly
what the title 'Next generation of trucks' entails: The Future.
