Alright here we are with two vibe discs side by side and we’re going to go ahead and
use this ball to simulate a baseball throw or any type catch and throw drill here. So
actually what I’m going to do is I’m creating a little creating some instability on my foundation
as I’m throwing the ball, I’m rotating out whether you’re playing baseball, football
a quarterback position or a receiver you’re able to get a new set of movement patterns
that help you create a better throw with more accuracy. Another drill that involves throwing
a baseball especially pitching which involves the balance point which helps develop velocity
to throw the ball.
Tom why is the balance point so important in pitching? Because when you balance basically
what you’re trying to do is you’re trying to come to a balance point to get everything
moving in the same direction, number one to help gain velocity on your throw, number two
you want to try to prevent injuries to the shoulders or elbow, if you don’t balance
correctly and you come through your balance point you can drop your elbow or you can raise
your arm too high and cause you a shoulder or elbow injury, so incorporating the BoSu
ball with the vibe will help train the young and the old athlete on how to find their balance
point. One thing nice about having this rebounder is we’re able to use it and we have someone
that’s available to play catch with us and we can go ahead and normally people do this just on a flat surface
but having the vibe disc that instability helps you develop more of a realistic situation
especially when you’re going out and doing whatever sports activity you’re involved
with that creates the unpredictable environments that you might be placed in.
