Hello everyone.
This is the second part of the video tutorial How to crochet a lace summer top.
In this video I’ll show you how to continue crocheting rows,
join front and back parts together,
crochet sleeves,
and finish up the cardigan.
The written instruction how to make this top is available at:

On this web page you may share pictures of your work and ask questions if any.
Begin crocheting the eight row as your third row.
After double crochet two work double crochet seven into V stitch.
I started my eighth row
as my third row.
I worked double crochet seven into V stitch, increase
double crochet seven into V stitch, chain three.
Now instead of increase I will work
double crochet three into middle single crochet chain.
And then I will work the pattern
as a mirror reflection – again chain three,
double crochet seven into V stitch,
and again increase, and so on.
When you crochet to your next corner
work again double crochet three into one chain
instead of just regular increase.
And then continue the pattern, again
double crochet seven, then increase, and so on.
In corners I work double crochet three into one chain.
Then finish the eighth row as your third row.
After last double crochet seven into V stitch
work double crochet two and one returning chain.
Start crocheting your ninth row as your fourth one.
After single crochet five,
chain three work V stitch
between first two double crochets of these three double crochets into one chain.
V stitch in between.
Then one chain and again second V stitch
between third and second double crochets.
And then continue working the pattern regular way.
Working just one V stitch into increase
to your next corner.
And then again work
V stitch, chain one, V stitch and so on.
Again, in each corner I work
V stitch, chain one, V stitch.
So, after that again
work the pattern regular way to the next corner,
and so on.
Finish the ninth row as your fourth row. At the end of the row work one returning chain.
I started crocheting the tenth row as my fifth row.
But where I have corner,
I worked double crochet seven into
V stitch, chain one, double crochet seven
into V stitch.
Then I will crochet regular way
to the next corner. And again
will do the same thing in each corner.
Again, in each corner, work double crochet seven, chain one, double crochet seven.
Then finish the tenth row as your fifth one,
and work two returning chains.
Start crocheting your eleventh row as your sixth row.
After single crochet five
work two chains.
Then increase under a chain.
And then again two chains,
skip one, double crochet,
single crochet five, and so on.
For the eleventh row I work
single crochet five, three chains, increase.
And in my corners I work,
after single crochet five,
two chains, increase, two chains.
So, finish the eleventh row as your sixth row
and work two returning chains.
I started my twelfth row
as my seventh row.
After single crochet three
make three chains, work V stitch into increase.
Then again, make three chains,
skip first single crochet
chain, single crochet three, and so on.
For the twelfth row my repeat is –
single crochet three,
chain three, V stitch into increase, chain three,
to end of the row.
And then finish the twelfth row as your seventh row.
Start crocheting your thirteenth row as your
third row or eight row.
After the increase, chain three,
double crochet seven into V stitch.
After the double crochet seven
make three chains,
work increase into the middle chain and so on.
For the thirteenth row the repeat is –
double crochet seven
into V stitch,
chain three, increase, chain three
to end of the row.
At the end of the row work one returning chain.
Start crocheting the fourteenth row as your
fourth row, or ninth row.
After the V stitch
make three chains.
Then skip first double crochet,
single crochet five, and so on.
For the fourteenth row the repeat is –
single crochet five,
chain three, V stitch into increase,
chain three to end of the row.
For the fifteenth row the repeat is –
double crochet seven
into V stitch,
chain three, single crochet three, chain three
to end of the row.
I started my sixteenth row as my
eleventh row, or sixth row.
And when I will crochet to each corner,
I will work
double crochet three
into one chain instead of just regular increase
into a middle single crochet chain.
So, where I have a corner, I will work
double crochet three into one chain.
And then again, I will crochet to my
following corner, and again I will work
double crochet three
into the middle chain and so on.
Start crocheting your seventeenth row
as your twelfth row, or seventh row.
In the corner work V stitch.
Then chain one, V stitch.
Just as you did here.
And then again continue
chain three, single crochet three, V stitch, and so on.
When you crochet seventeen rows,
repeat the pattern starting from the third row.
So, my repeat for the eighteenth row will be
double crochet seven into V stitch, increase.
In corners work double crochet seven
into first V stitch, chain one,
double crochet seven into second V stitch,
and so on.
After I crocheted eighteen rows,
now I will join my front and back parts together.
So, I started my nineteenth row as my fourth row.
And now, where I have corner,
I will join my front and back parts together.
For the extra small size I join my front and back parts as follows:
I started my nineteenth row
as my fourth row.
Where I have the corner,
after single crochet five, chain three.
Then work one double crochet into a chain.
Make two chains,
work into the same base chain unfinished double crochet.
Pull the yarn through the first two loops on your hook.
Then skip the whole shoulder piece
to your next corner.
And again work unfinished double crochet into a chain.
Pull the yarn though the first two loops on your hook.
When you have three loops on your hook,
pull the yarn through all three loops on your hook.
Then make three chains,
skip first double crochet chain.
Then single crochet five
and so on – just continue the pattern.
For the Small/Medium size
I join front and back parts as follows:
I started my nineteenth row as my fourth row.
After the V stitch
I will work five chains.
Then I skip the whole shoulder piece
to my following corner,
and I will work here
V stitch
under a chain.
Then work two chains, skip first double crochet,
single crochet five, and so on.
When you crochet to the end of your back part
where your corner is,
after the V stitch work five chains.
Then again skip the whole shoulder part.
And where you have the corner
again work V stitch under a chain,
two chains,
skip one chain, single crochet five,
and so on to end of the row.
Begin your twentieth row as your fifth row.
After
double crochet seven into V stitch
make three chains.
Then, where you have five chains,
skip one chain, single crochet three.
Then again three chains,
double crochet seven into V stitch and so on.
Now just repeat the five rows
without increasing chains or working corners.
Just
repeat increase, single crochet five
to end of the row.
So, I will start my twenty first row as my sixth row.
After
single crochet five, chain three, then increase.
Then again three chains,
skip first double crochet chain, single crochet five, and so on.
To crochet sleeves in the round,
attach the yarn
where your middle single crochet chain is,
chain five. Work double crochet one
into the same base chain.
This will be your V stitch.
Then chain three.
And continue the pattern regular way.
Skip first double crochet chain,
single crochet five, and so on.
At the end of the first round, after last single crochet five,
chain three, and work one slip stitch into the third chain.
Second round.
Chain three.
Then work double crochet six into V stitch.
After double crochet six, chain three, and continue the pattern regular way.
Again, skip first single crochet, single crochet three, and so on.
At the end of the second round, after last
single crochet three, chain three
and work slip stitch into the
third chain.
Third round. Make one chain,
single crochet five.
After the single crochet five, chain three,
and continue as usual. Again,
skip first single crochet chain, work increase, and so on.
At the end of the third round, after last increase, chain three,
and work one slip stitch into the second chain.
Fourth round. Chain one, single crochet three.
Then chain three.
And again continue –
V stitch into increase.
Then chain three, single crochet three, and so on.
At the end of the fourth round, after last V stitch, chain three,
and work one slip stitch into the second chain.
Fifth round. One more slip stitch.
Then chain three.
Double crochet one into the same base chain.
This will be my increase. Then again chain three.
Continue the pattern regular way –
double crochet seven
into V stitch, chain three,
increase and so on.
At the end of the fifth round, after last double crochet seven into V stitch, chain three,
and work slip stitch
into the third chain.
Then repeat the pattern starting from the first round. Again, chain five,
double crochet one.
This will be my V stitch.
Then chain three, single crochet five, and so on.
Again, after I join my front and back parts together,
I repeated the five rows to my waist line.
And then, I used a larger size crochet hook
to widen the garment.
For each sleeve I repeated the
five rounds three times,
and then I used a smaller size crochet hook
to finish each sleeve.
For borders I worked reverse single crochet.
For each tie I chained forty,
and then worked slip stitches back.
After that, the cardigan is ready,
and thank you for watching.
