MllsDeMode at Graspop Metal Meeting
You have longer hair than me
Do you have tips for healthy hair?
I've always heard that you have to cut the ends of your hair regularly.
So I think you have to go to the hairdresser every six months.
And my girlfriend, who also has long hair, told me that you have to wash it with shampoo & conditioner every four days.
That's what I've heard, but you also see people here that have greasy dreadlocks.
I don't know why they have it, but I'm guessing it's something your readers don't like.
And I don't like it either.
How does the perfect metal chick look like?
I've never had a metal chick as girlfriend. A normal girl is fine by me.
Me too, metal chicks are either ugly and fairly normal or really pretty and insane.
Maybe she's a metal chick and you've just offended her.
My girlfriend is a metal chick, but unlike me she grew out of it really fast.
She's fairly normal, she went to college, wears pretty dresses, so...
Well, obviously there are pretty metal chicks, but there are many women who make their face paler than it is.
have a lot of piercings and tattoos. Well, getting a job like that is difficult.
They're like: "We can't get a job." Yeah, that's surprising.
By the way, I don't think that the people at a metal festival are really different from people at a normal festival.
There are always extremes. In the Netherlands there's this festival called Pinkpop
and even business people dye their hair pink and act all crazy when they attend the festival.
I think it's the same for Graspop. Business people put on their coolest clothes, show their tattoos and go insane.
So I don't think the people are any different from the people at another festival.
Last year we played in Oslo. The metalscene is more accepted and more mainstream there.
We noticed that the people there were really metal with their leather jackets, tattoos and long hair
but everything was picture perfect. It was almost like they came out of a lifestyle magazine for metalheads.
We were standing there with our t-shirts and without tattoos. We were like the odd ones out.
Their hair was also perfectly styled. It was a strange experience, because metal is tough and brutal
but those people looked perfect. Very unusual.
Which bands do you want to see at Graspop Metal Meeting?
Let me see, we definitely want to see Twisted Sister. That's really metal, more metal than us.
And... Well, I want to see us. And Rotting Christ.
The bands that I want to see play on other days. I would like to see Ghost on Sunday.
Maybe we'll come back, we're not sure. It's not that far. I also want to see Slipknot.
But that's tomorrow in the evening. We're going back tonight with our stuff.
Maybe we'll come back tomorrow, but only a part of the band.
Festivals are also a social gathering. Walking around and talking with people,
sometimes it's more about socializing than going to see bands.
When I go to a three day festival I only see 10 out of 120 bands.
It's the social factor that makes a festival so awesome.
Skrillex changed from screamo to dupstep.
Which genre would you go for?
Country of course. Just oldschool country. And you'll be the singer.
I'd rather change to Triphop-House-Klezmer-Funk-Fusion.
I would go for classical music, like Wagner. Or movie soundtracks, like Pirates of the Caribbean or Lord of the Rings.
