Help me, Lord, be merciful / o
Sir, I turn myself in all Thy mercy and be the living reflection.
That the greatest attribute of God, His boundless mercy
can penetrate through my heart and through my soul toward others.
Help me, Lord, that my eyes may be merciful:
not suspect anyone and do not judge according to outward appearances.
I just watch what is beautiful in the soul of others and who go to their rescue.
Help me, Lord, that my ears may be merciful:
I'm always attentive to the needs of others,
and my ears are not indifferent to the sorrows and the groans of others.
Help me, Lord, that my tongue may be merciful:
I never speak ill of others,
but each has a word of consolation and forgiveness.
Help me, Lord,
so that my hands are full of mercy and good works:
it can only do good to others, allowing me to work harder and harder.
Help me, Lord, that my feet may be merciful:
I am always ready to go help my neighbor, dominating his own tiredness and fatigue.
The rest are my true service to others.
Help me, Lord, that my heart may be merciful:
I feel all the sufferings of others.
No one will deny my heart.
I live sincerely, even those who know that they will abuse my kindness.
That, for myself, I will close the Merciful Heart of Jesus
and keep quiet about my own suffering.
O my Jesus, who dwells in me Your mercy!
It is you who command me to exercise the three degrees of mercy:
- The first one is an act of mercy;
- The second, the word of mercy, at least word, if you can not do a work;
- Thirdly, the prayer is not possible for me
practice mercy by acts or by words, always at least I can do for prayer.
And my prayer leads me to reach even where we can not physically reach.
O my Jesus, transform me in you, since everything you can.
