This is a review of the Yu Teng YT38 spring airsoft pistol.
This is a replica of the SIG-Sauer P226.
This weapon comes in two version: a two-tone version and a black version.
If you do intend to purchase one of these, please be advised
that the screws connecting the bottom to the magazine
should be replaced immediately.
The screws are too small for the holes in the magazine.
the magazine will fall apart.
The gun tends to rattle significantly, mostly due to the slide and the magazine.
I recommend that you place some lubricant on the slide.
The weapon is not a full metal gun.
The slide is metal with plastic components
while the lower reciever is plastic with metal components.
The slide is metal and the barrel is plastic with an orange tip.
The sights are poor, the plastic hammer does not work.
The magazine is metal with plastic components.
The trigger and the grips are plastic. The takedown lever is metal.
There is a rail in front of the plastic trigger guard.
The pistol is rated to shoot about 250 FPS at short range, though it is probably less than that.
There is a small wheel for the hop-up on the slide.
In short, if you can get a better gun, buy it.
