Hi, I'm Paul Chait I'd like to show you the CA 1550 Battery Charger/Analyzer
This unit is sort of the workhorse - It combines the charge function of our C25
And the true constant current 0-50 amp discharge section of our D50 all in one unit
It's in a portable case - you can stick it under a table when you're done with it, it's very modular
On the discharge side, the industry standard is a constant current discharge down to a preset voltage level
You start with a fully charged battery You would set only three parameters
One is your voltage cutoff - usually 20 volts for a 24 volt battery
Or 10 volts for a 12 volt battery - easily adjustable
The other parameter is your discharge current That's always what's specified on the battery
Some manufacturers allow the 85% You can do that as well
And of course the time - usually a one hour rate
If the battery is a very large amp-hour capacity You are allowed up to a two hour rate
On the charge side - it's extremely simple to use
You have two choices Basically there is the Lead Acid or NiCad
Constant current or constant potential
For constant potential you can choose between your 12 or 24 volt selector
What's nice is that in either of them if you are to take a 12 volt selection, usually it charges about 14.5 volts
If you decide that you want to go up to 14.7, or 14.3 You have a little easily adjustable control and you can do that
Same thing for your nominal 24 volt battery Usually charging it 28.5 volts
If you decide you want to go up to 28.6, 28.7 or down to 28.3, you can do that quite easily
