Hi YouTube! This is Loraine, and I'm just checking with Day 2 of Bridge To 10K.
I have work late tonight, so I went ahead and got up early this morning so I could get to the gym by 9 o'clock
and do my run. About an hour before my workout I ate a pretty well-rounded breakfast. I've been trying to avoid the
sugary cereals, the Cocoa Pebbles. Erin actually taught me how to make an awesome 5-minute breakfast sandwich.
Basically, you take an English muffin, chop it in half, put it into the pan on medium heat, and let that toast up
while you pop open an egg, toss that into a little, circular tupperware. And you just take cheese, meat, and maybe some
kind of vegetable. Today I did green olive that had garlic in them. And just kind of chop those up and sprinkle
them into the raw egg. And once you're done with that, just take that tupperware, put it inside the microwave
for about a minute, and that'll firm up and turn into a little patty that you might see on a breakfast sandwich.
So yeah, that was my breakfast today. Then I headed out for the gym. This run was exactly the same as Day 1,
so the warmup walk, 10 minutes running, 1 minute walking, 10 minutes running, 1 minute walking, 10 minutes
of running, 1 minute of walking, 10 minutes of running, 1 minute walking and then a cool down. So a total of
40 minute running out of 53 minutes total. So yeah, it wasn't very bad today. I'm starting to get a little blister
on my foot, so that was annoying. And last run, on what was it? Tuesday? I actually got a little more exercise
because my neighbors somehow lost their little Dachshund puppy, and he escaped out into our neighborhood. So I ran around
with them on Tuesday night, trying to find their little dog. And I'm pretty sure they found him eventually, because
I do hear barking down the hall. And I'm pretty sure he's the only dog here. So yeah, hopefully, I'm crossing
my fingers that they found the dog. Oh yeah, I was going to show you this. I got this from InCase, and I've been
running with it pretty much all through Couch to 5K and through my first two days of Bridge to 10k.
It's a pretty awesome iPhone holder and it has a clip. So if I wanna take it off and change the song or do something
on my phone while I'm running, it's pretty easy. And it just clicks right back on. So yeah, I've been using it quite a bit.
I feel like it has paid for itself. Since I've run probably 70 plus miles with it now. Looking forward to the next run!
I'll check back in with you guys. Take care!
