Alright now that we've got it nice and secure; I'm going to put a little water on there,
I'll start wheel wedging this guy to ensure a nice consistent clay body without having
any air bubbles and stuff in it. So basically what I'm doing, I got my; my elbows locked
into my legs and I'm squeezing this guy up, when it comes up like some kind of stalagmite
I can hear the bubbles coming it out of them and all the while developing this slip on
my hand to where I only have to use just a little bit of water because with these guys
you want to throw dry. I think with anything you want to throw dry, as dry as you can.
You can always tell how proficient a potter can be by how dry he's throwing. Just keep
squeezing it up; going all the way down to the bottom, wheel wedging; wheel wedge, wheel
wedge and I'm going to come down with one Karate chop; that's when my, my arms; my,
my hands are crossed; my arms are locked and I'm coming down like this, pushing down on
the top of the clay. So not only am I getting rid of any air bubbles or any inconsistencies;
centering it and there we go, nice centered piece of clay.
