Danny, congratulations on winning your World Title.
I'm Ajose Olusegun, number one contender and I demand a challenge.
I'm asking you know, under your good promoter Golden Boy, now that I demand a challenge
When are you going to fight? Are you going to fight me? Or are you going to duck it?
Because you're supposed to fight me now.
Just say thank you, thank you...
Look, new World Champion of the WBC, c'mon.
Let him enjoy it, let him enjoy it. I'll answer that for you.
Let me say something, First of all, I'm a fighter. I'm a Champion.
I'll fight anybody, anywhere, in your backyard, anywhere from Philadelphia we'll bring blood
sweat and tears.
That's right, You!I'm a fighter, and if you get in there with me
You'll get knocked out.
That's your five minutes of fame. Sit down.
Enjoy it now! Thank you very much, thank you very much...
We're here on The Overtime Page and we got a challenger here tonight challenging the
champion Danny Garcia
For those who don't know you, tell us your name again
My name is Olusegun Ajose
And you come from where?
I'm from Nigeria by the way of England.
My record is 30-0 and I've been the number one contender in the WBC
For 3 years now. So right now I'm the demanded challenger,
So Garcia has to fight me now.
What do you think about his words and his response to your words?
I like the way he responded, he said he's willing to fight anybody. Which is good.
He's the champion now. I give him respect for that, but now, he has to fight the demanded
challenger.
My question to him was is he going to duck or is he going to fight.
Do you think he'll fight? Do you think it will happen?
He has to fight. If he doesn't fight, he has to vacate the title.
If he doesn't fight actually, the WBC will strip him.
In the first place, he was the number two contender when he fought for the title.
So he wasn't supposed to fight it. I was supposed to fight for it.
What happened?
Well, you know I've been avoided for the past 3 years.
So you think guys are scared of you?
Of course! When Devon Alexander was the champion, I was the number one contender.
When Timothy Bradley was the champion, I was the number one contender.
Erik Morales the champion, I am the number one contender.
I'm the demanded challenger now! Mind you, demanded challenger now!
So you want this bad?
Of course! All I want is my fair shot. You can beat me? Show me in the ring.
What did you think of Danny's performance?
I think he's good, he's young, but he's got a lot to learn.
He's not there yet, he has to wait for his time. This is not his time.
He's just holding on to that belt for a little while. Enjoy it while it lasts because I am
coming.
Ajose Olusegun is coming to get the title.
Are you looking to knock him out or win by decision?
I am very sure I am going to knock him out. He's strong, I'm stronger.
He's fast, I'm faster. He doesn't got much experience, I got more experience.
He didn't go to the Olympics, I went to the Olympics.
I've won every title available: Africa, Nigeria, British, Commonwealth; I've won every title.
I never duck anyone. Go and check the records, I never duck anybody.
When I was the champion, I always fought everybody.
I worked my way through the rankings from the number 26 to number one for three years!
So why I haven't got my shot? Because I've been avoided.
I am here now and I'm not just the number one contender anymore, I'm the demanded challenger!
So you came here tonight with a purpose to see Danny Garcia fight and challenge him in
person?
Absolutely. That's what I came here to do. I've told him to his face that I'm going to
fight him.
I don't want him to vacate, I want to fight him! I wanna show him how boxing is done;
I want to teach him a little bit of boxing.
He's gonna eventually become a good boxer...he's a good boxer now; not special.
I am a special boxer right now and I just want to prove it.
That's all I'm asking for; to prove it to the world that I'm better.
Thank you
