Welcome to another SCDTV review for Gunfire
today we'll talk about North American cousins of European bison
PP-19 Bison, and what's better than one Bison?
two Bisons
What is this? Why it's not a grenade launcher?
it's an ak style design
and it's not a grenade launcher but a helical magazine
as it was designed to accomodate more cartridges in a different position than usual
is the caliber the same?
it has a pistol 9mm or pistol 7.62mm
ok, we know it's an airsoft gun that originated from an AK
let's discuss the external performance
everything is mostly full steel
except the pistol grip and magazine
everything is rock solid
no wobble and the cover is sometimes difficult to take off
well maybe the stock has slight wobble
eye feasting full steel you can smash doors with it
one more thing
an original PBS-1 fits nicely
it looks pretty nice then
on the other side
side mount for optics like Russian Cobra red dot sight
this strange looking side pin
that block the stock so it doesn't touch the magazine
for me this is crap
but an original has it so kudos for Silverback for making such a great airsoft gun
you won't be afraid that during a skirmish the stock will get off
the pin hold the stock very tightly so you need some force to open it
we fold the stock by pressing a button here
you need to push the stock upwards a little
the stock stays at its place no matter what you do
of course the sling swivel will always move
but than, unfolding the stock is a pain in the neck
sometimes the stock gets stuck an no matter what you can't move it
maybe a knee or supernatural powers would help
the magazines are as you can see, bulky
it looks like the original
they are really big and bulky
making it difficult to find a propper pouch
I heard that RPK pouches would be good
they are long enough and, I think, Russian use them
Russians made Bison pouches but they were used is limited number just like Bison itself
not many soldiers wanted this gun
the magazine is plastic with steel plate here
so the magazine will not break in this place
it's a mid cap for 160bbs
but if we load it with more than 100bb
we noticed that magazine shells tend to displace
the magazines need to be looked after
and the first thing you should is to pour some silicone
so they feed nicely
now we'll check how fast you can change the magazine in Bison an normal AK
well that's all
so now?
change those mags
ready? [Irek] I'll tell you when
you didn't reload
[Adi] I could get killed three times [Dudek] but it's just a toy
now you can improve your previous result
Are you ready? yes
what a starting position is this?
shooting position
8 seconds
not bad for such a big thing
from the outside the gun is a bit custom looking
the internals are much more common
v3 gearbox, probably from King Arms
ak style hop up chamber
so if anything break inside it's not a big deal
you can see the gearbox here
but if you break an external part...your're in trouble
every gun has a unique serial number near the trigger
here we have 9 and here 544
How to take the cover.
magic time
unfold the stock
even if you unfold the stock it's still difficult to take off
UNFOLD THE STOCK!!
now, no problems
impossible!
as you can see it's nicely assembled
at the beginning you have to show some love
version 3 gearbox
mini tamya and ak hopup chamber
the battery goes here
but you have to remember that nicd batteries are too wide and you need a lipo stick
0.20 Guarder bbs
I believe the consistency is preserved
rate of fire lipo 7.4V 2400mAh
Let's shoot Irek who is 20 metres away
we'll check if it hurts
I guess it hurts a bit
you've missed me
aim higher
where did you aim?
[Adi] in your knees
you shot my balls
what's the distance?
a maximum of 30 metres
the shooting test was conducted in the temperature of zero celcius degrees
we used 0.25 bb on 20 and 30 metres
20 metres inside and 30 metres outside
How was it? It shootes great
of course you have to adjust the hop up and sights
despite its short inner barrel it's accurate and nice to shoot
Irek got his share of suffering
Adi took our Bison for a skirmish. CHeck how it performed in an airsoft battlefield.
let's sum up
is it worth buying? I'd go for it.
the price is unknown [THE PRICE IS KNOWN - 1600PLN]
if you're a Russian geardo and you want a Bison
there's Silverback and some time ago there were some from Russianmania Workshop
but they cost an arm and a leg
and it was a custom one with a hicap
here we've got a great gun entirely made from steel
with some plastic parts
it may not be the best gun out of the box
if the hopup rubber works through, if we do not spare silicone
it's a great gun you've seen how it shoots
rate of fire on 7.4 lipo was aroun 12bb/sec
the difference between fps was about 2 or 1.5fps
and this show the greatness of the internal mechanism
if you want an aeg
there are cheaper, more universal with standard magazines aeg out there
but if you crave for Bison
this is the only option, fortunatelly a great one
we pay a lot of money and we get a product worth every penny
well, it's truth that you need to show some love to make it great
but it's just like with any other aeg, there are no perfect ones
so if you want one, think of special pouches
RPK or custom ones
a great show off
a unique and all-purpose piece
great in forest with its 370fps
great range and grouping
with a weaker spring could be perfect for cqb
