Hi there,
This is the 2nd vid on the series about MDC's Academic Management System
This one deals with purging your roster
Steps on accessing class roster are covered in the 1st video
I'm selecting any semester as an example only
Purging your roster(s) is a very important requirement at the College
Please, DO NOT wait until the end of the term to report a "never attended" student
To protect the students' privacy, I have shaded the area with their personal information
If the “Never Attended” button is chosen, the system will automatically identify a “Last-Date-of-Attendance” as the day before your session began
For a student who stopped attending your class, choose the first radio button that allows you to identify the actual date within your session when the student discontinued their attendance.
Click on "Class Roster Has Been Reviewed" button even if you do not have students to drop to acknowledge reviewing the roster
Remember to communicate often with students in your courses. They might be absent a couple of classes because of personal matters and never properly excuse themselves
Don't drop them from your course unless you know that they will not come back or after you have made reasonable attempts to contact them. Check with Chairperson when in doubt.
