In spite of the siege and the famine
Moadameit Al-Sham is still a heaven in the souls of its inhabitants.
In the midst of all misery and pain caused by 10 months of siege,
the innocence of childhood is expressed by a football game or a swing, that might make it forget some of its pain,
and here one of its children leaves life.
Activists say that they recorded number of deaths amongst the children of the town due to hunger and malnutrition.
*I plead everyone with conscious to help us, we here in Moadamei will soon die because of hunger *
*For how long shall we suffer?*
*This is unfair! *
*Our children have died because of hunger *
*All you can see are martyrs, wounded, and arrested people, this is unfair!*
*God is the greatest, Moadameit Al-Sham*
The Fourth battalion, the National Guard, and the forces of Mazzeh military airport force siege on the town where residents are living under shelling with all kinds of weapons.
They forbid any food, supplies or life essentials.
* There is no water, no food, no bakeries, no bread, no flour, and no milk for babies*
*Bakeries were bombed and this is how bakeries look like in Moadamiet Al-Sham *
A man can sustain life without bread,
this is what the residents of Moadameit Al-Sham prove when they can’t find bread for more than 10 months.
This reality made the milk man get a big attention from the town’s residents because he is the only one who provided milk for famished babies from his 4 cows.
*I swear, we are eating cress with little grit on if we could find, this is our supper and lunch. This is our food and drink*
*our children ….. grandmother, we want to eat , I have 6 orphans *
With what they can find of firewood they use to lit fire after the absence of fuel,
and they cook what they can find of vegetables , that still grow on their land which they know will always offer.
