Hello and welcome again to Lightworks this video is organising your project
Part three of the Lightworks quick start tutorials
In This Video we'll look at Bins and Racks
And we'll discuss different ways of displaying and
Managing the contents of your project
In the last video we saved two bins of imported clips by naming the bins
Where they now ?
if i right click on the Bin tool and Choose List permanent bins.
A panel appears showing all the bins in the project
Let's open them
The drop down menu at the top of the bin lets you choose between tiles or a list
And you can change the list of columns that's a displayed
Click on the Cogs icon
And in the drop down menu next to columns, choose customise
For editing
You might just need name and tracks
Before i could use to change the columns i'll save this column list so that i can
Load it to my other bin
I now want to resize the bins
Can do this by dragging any of the edges or corners
And we can rename clips in the bin
This is an over the shoulder short of Neil
This is a big close-up of Sanya
You can also drag clips from one bin to another
I'm going to separate the clips into shots favouring Sanya
And shots favouring Neil
As well it's moving single clips you can move multiple clips by highlighting with
Shift key, i'll finish this later
Now if i vanish the bins and getting them back by the bin tools
This time highlighting both bins and clicking open
A rack appears
Think of rack is a filing cabinet or shelf for your bins
Opening one of the bins you can see that the view i choose has been saved
I'll minimise the binn and put it back in the rack
You can reorder bins
And if i save the rack by naming it
I can get it back back into the Rack tool and choosing list permanent racks
I hope this has suggested ways for you to organize your clips
Obviously if you only have a few clips
One been maybe all the organisation you need
But when you have hundreds of clips
You probably want a bin for each section or scene of a film
And rack for each film reel or episode
OK thats all for part three
T he next video will show you the power of the search tool
