“If you consecutively slept one night in each room (excluding bathrooms) of the Palace
of the Light of Faith, how many years would it take you to sleep in them all?”
Ok, so it must be a gigantic palace apparently. So, step one, we need to find out what is
this Palance of the Light of Faith. But, I also need to find out how many rooms there
are excluding bathrooms. So, my strategy is going to be to figure out how many rooms there
are at the Palace of the Light of Faith, subtract the bathrooms from the total number of rooms
in this palace and then divide that by 365 to find out how many years it would take for
me to sleep in all of them. So, let’s go to our search engine. Let’s
learn about the “palace of the light of faith”. So, I come up with this – “Istana
Narul Iman”. Ok, I don’t know why that’s coming up, I’m looking for the Palace of
the Light of Faith. Ok, so that is just the first result. Let’s see if there is anywhere
else. Here is a Q&A site, answers.yahoo.com. “Where is the Palace of Faith…”. Ok,
“How many rooms does the Palace of the Light of Faith have…” Now, this is not a Q&A
site, as you can see. This is at Ask.com. So this is another search engine. Let’s
take a look at what Ask.com has to say about this. As I scroll through, I can see that
in this response we have – “It has 1,788 rooms, and this includes 257 bathrooms…”
Ok, that’s interesting. It is siting a Wikipedia article which was the first search result
that came up and here is our Wikipedia article. I want to find out what the relationship is
between Istana Nurul Iman and this. I thought we were looking for the Palace of the Light
of Faith. So, as I scroll through, I find right there – it says, “The name ‘Istana
Nurul Iman’ is taken from the Persian Astane and Arabic Nur-ol Imaan and means Palace of
the Light of Faith.” Ok, so this is the Persian way of saying, or the Arabic combination
way of saying Palace of the Light of Faith. So, I just need to confirm that there are
1,788 rooms. As I scroll through, low and behold, there it is. That’s probably where
that Ask.com article got this information from. So, but this includes 257 bathrooms.
So, my task is to subtract 257 from 1,788 and then divide that by 365. So, let’s use
the calculator through Google.com. So, let’s just enter in “1788-257” it gives us “1,531”.
So, let’s go ahead and divide that by the number of days in a year which is 365 which
gives us “4.19”. So it would take me 4.19 years to sleep in every room of the Palace
of the Light of Faith. Wow.
