Now I'm going to show you how to grease the tuning slide of your trombone. Of course we're
going to remove it and you want to do this, of course, probably every time that you play
if you can remember. Start off with, we'll use some of our lanolin cream, which again
you can find at any pharmacy. Put a little bit of that on each end. Now you don't have
to use a whole lot of this stuff, a little bit goes a long way. Take just a tad of our
slide oil here, and we'll just put a little drop on there and work that in. Feels a little
thin to you, you can always add some more of the lanolin. We want to start off with
the big slide part here first, we got two different diameters here. Not all trombones
are like that, but this one is. We're going to start with this one, we're going to work
that in there, and twist it around, so all the grease is evenly distributed. Do that
with the little one here.
I find it's easier to do this with the trombone laying down, have it line it all up real good.
I guess I'll do this one, and put it on in. And that's how to properly grease your trombone
tuning slide.
