As main sponsor of the biggest automobile event in the Netherlands, Shell wanted to inform, inspire and astonish the 27.000 visitors to the AutoRAI 2011.
A great opportunity for Shell to inform a large interested public about the latest developments and the newest products in the field of smarter mobility.
The current products were demonstrated using the Shell V-Power looping and the Shell FuelSave Challenge.
This resulted in an extraordinary total impression in combination with the future-orientated Shell Eco-marathon and Future Energy Circle.
The Shell Eco-marathon is a competition for students teams from all across Europe to build a fuel-efficient vehicle.
The European final will be held in Germany.
All participating Dutch teams were given the opportunity to have their vehicle comprehensively tested at the AutoRAI.
The teams also competed for a trophy for the most sustainable team and most attractive design.
Shell organised an interactive debate for guests with an interest in the energy issues of the future;
the debate was literally held in the midst of the Eco-marathon circuit. Under the guidance of Jan Douwe Kroeske,
experts in the field of electricity, hydrogen and bio-fuel discussed the fuel mix in 2030 with each other and the public.
Shell demonstrated to car drivers at the AutoRAI 2011 just how straightforward it is to save fuel.
Shell Experts gave economical driving. Shell FuelSave is the economical fuel that generates savings of up to one litre per tank.
This was light-heartedly presented in an eye-catching manner by letting the men and women compete with each other
in the Shell FuelSave Challenge to establish who the most economical drivers are.
Shell also stole the show at the AutoRAI with the most amazing stunt: the Shell V-Power Looping.
Shell V-Power makes the engine cleaner and stronger. Shell used the stunt to demonstrate this in a spectacular manner.
The looping did not only attract a great deal of attention during the AutoRAI; millions of people saw it in newspapers and blogs,
on you-tube and other social media.
The AutoRAI 2011 was a great success with a broad and varied range of smarter mobility solutions and outlooks for the future.
Shell turned heads at the AutoRAI 2011.
