Hi Guys
My name's Kirsty
First of all, so sorry for the bad quality of the image and sound. I'm on my laptop
But anyways, as some of you may or may not know, I’m doing a charity challenge
where I will be trekking approximately 48km so that’s around 30 miles across
the Great Wall of China in September 2012 ... all in aid of the Prince’s Trust
I got involved in this event through an organisation called "Charity Challenge".
They are a fundraising challenge operator and have even organised a trek for comic
relief a couple of years back.
I’ve chosen to do this because I've always wanted to something a bit out of the
norm, so when I came across their webpage I thought I’d apply and go for it,
especially since it’s in aid of charity.
The main part and also the most difficult part of this challenge i find, besides
completing the trek is getting fit which ... yeh my fitness levels are like this .. so
training hard
But anyways, (where am I? What am I talking about?)
I have to raise a minimum sponsorship of £2195.
I have to raise 80% of the money by June and the remaining 20% after I come back
from the trek.
The balance of my challenge costs is £988 and will be paid by the charity from the
minimum sponsorship that it receives. The remaining sponsorship money (which
will be at least 55% of the minimum sponsorship) will be retained by The
Prince's Trust.
The big bummer is: if I don’t happen to raise 80% by June then I don’t get to go
on the trek to China and also I lose my deposit.
But that’s where all you lovely lovely generous kind people come in.
Every single pound to penny that you donate will be given straight to charity. I
send them all the donations as soon as I get them. So don’t worry, I don’t benefit
financially at all in this.
I actually must give a personal contribution of £790 which goes towards
challenge costs.
I’ve chosen to support the Prince’s Trust... A bit about what they do. They
help with youths age 13-30 who have struggled at school, have been in care,
are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.
They help develop skills such as confidence they support young people
finacially, emotionally and they help in various other ways.
They are fantastic, great at what they do but obviously can’t do it without your
support and without the support of the public
So I beg that you will be kind enough to donate some money. A penny will do a
pound will do, a £100 would be great ! :D
You can donate on my fundraising page, the link is below in the description box.
Also I've put down there the websites for Charity Challenge, Prince's Trust. If you
want more information about what they do just click on the links below.
Also you can sponsor me in person, I carry a sponsorship form on me all the
time. So if you want to sponsor me and if you see me, just tap
me on the shoulder, fill in the sponsorship form and I will give you a great big
MASSIVE hug as a thank you
On behalf of the PRINCES TRUST .... Thank you !!!!!!!
