Hi everyone, Ellie here with Hair Kandy. I’m going to show you three buns to help you tame
your hair on a bad hair day or if you just want your hair up. We’ve all been there.
We’ve all had bad hair days. I’ve fallen asleep with my hair wet, which you shouldn’t
do, it’s really bad for your hair. Your hair’s more fragile when it’s wet. If
you do happen to wake up with a really bad hair day, I will be showing you three buns
that will save your day and make you have a beautiful hair day. Turn a bad hair day
into a beautiful hair day, so stay tuned. For this tutorial, all you will need is a
teasing brush, a crocodile clip. You will need your handy dandy little spiral bobby
pins. You will need hairspray and a big hair tie like this and a little rubber band.
I’m using my 120 gram set in espresso love and I will be using all of my clips except
for four 1-clip pieces. You will be clipping in your extension upside down. It helps the
extensions lay flat against your head and it just makes the bun look super sleek. To
begin, you want to section off your hair about in the middle of your ear and you just want
to bring your hair up. You’ll be taking a three-clip piece and you just want to clip
it upside down. Next you’ll want to clip in the longer of the two four-clips and you
just want to clip that in a little bit above the last weft. You just take your four-clip
and clip that right in. Next is your other four-clip and this will be the last clip that
you’re clipping in upside down. You have one three-clip and two two-clips left and
those you’ll be just clipping back so they don’t show. You can’t see the clips on
the sides. The three-clip is going to go a little bit
above the last four-clip. Then the two two-clips. I usually do one about in the middle and then
one a little closer to the front. The last one. Now that you have your extensions clipped
in, you’re going to do the first bun, which is just a messy bun. You want to gather all
of your hair up and I use my teasing brush to smooth it out a little bit but you still
want it to look a little bit messy since it is messy bun. I take the bigger hair tie and
I just make a ponytail on the top of my head. Then the ponytail I usually just pull out
a little bit just so it’s a little messier and you want to wrap this. It doesn’t have
to be perfect. I usually went a little bit bigger and with pieces sticking out and then
you take the smaller elastic and you just secure your bun.
You just want to mess it up and pull some pieces out. Just rough it up up here too so
it makes it look really messy. I just bring a few pieces down. Then if you need to you
can flat iron these. I would usually take this piece and just run my flat iron through
it. If you have a little piece like that that's sticking straight up, you can just kind of
work it around the bun and tuck it in. Then I’ll usually just take some hairspray and
spray it all over just so it stays throughout the day. That is the first finished look and
it’s a messy bun. For the second tutorial, I’ll be showing
you how to do a sleek bun. Again, you just want to bring all of your hair up, except
this time you’ll want to smooth it out completely with the teasing brush. The bottom too, make
sure that’s all brushed out. Then you just want to gather that up on the top of your
head again and secure that. Now that your hair is up, you just want to twist your hair around so
your bun doesn’t look messy. Then you will be twisting that around the ponytail, around
the hair tie. Then you want to take your spiral bobby pins and just twist them into the bun.
Even one will do the trick but if you want your bun to stay super well, you can twist
another through the back. Then if you want it to be a little bit bigger,
you can just pull it out. Then you can hairspray. If you want these up you can just bobby pin
them out, out of your face, away from your face. I usually keep some hair down. That
is a sleek bun. For the last bun that I’m going to show you it will be a braided bun.
Again, you just want to bring your hair up. I like this one to be a little bit messier
so if I smooth it out or brush it out, it’ll just be a little bit. Then you just want to
secure it with a hair tie. Then I like to kind of bring this out a little bit and then
you’ll be splitting your ponytail into two and you just want to braid each half.
Once this half is braided, you just want to bring it around and secure it with one of
the twisty bobby pins, spiral bobby pins. Now you will braid the other half. This I
usually bring around the opposite direction, if it wants to cooperate. Then you will just
secure that with another one of the spiral bobby pins. Again, just bring some pieces
down. If you want, you can run your flat iron through the little pieces by your face and
that is your finished braided bun. Thank you everyone for watching. Thumbs up if this was
