It's really cold in Toronto, Panorama on the streets...
...I'm here at 722 College St., where Mana Bar is located.
And I'm here because I can't just tell you what happens at night...
I need to show you what really goes on inside those places.
I'm at Mana Bar, they have Brazilian Nights, Latin Nigths, Russian Nights...
... we'll go inside and check that out so you can watch it comfortably at home...
... and then come to our recommendations.
So let's get inside and show you Mana!
I'm here with Eddy, he's the manager and DJ at Mana.
- So tonight is Thursday, this is the Students' Night... - Exactly, this is the Students' Night...
... we have free feijoada, group Simpatia playing Brazilian music, DJ Vince playing reggaeton, top 40.
Admission is free, drink prices are lower than the other nights, this is our Thursday night.
- So tomorrow is the 'oficial' Brazilian Night.
- Yes, tomrrow is the Brazilian Friday Night. I play a bit of everything but it's mainly Brazilian music.
Tomorrow is a "nightclub" night while today it's closer to a pub, a bar with live band.
And on Saturdays we have the Latin Nights which includes Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile.
- So we're here with someone, what's your name? - Yara.
- You've got some makeup on you. What were you doing?
- I just came from a show. - Were you performing?
- I was dancing samba. - Could you dance a bit for us?
- What do you think about Mana? - It's great, really great.
It's got everything from Brazil.
- What can you say about Mana for those who don't know the place?
- If you like Brazil, samba, pagode, come because you'll feel at home, it's great.
So what do you sell the most at Mana? There's a lot of Coronas, right?
- Can I say the name of the products? - Yes, of course.
- Corona and Rev are what we sell the most.
If someone is watching at home and decides to come, what can they do? Are there flyers, guest lists...
- They can check our website at www.manabar.com for night listings and guest lists.
Why do you come to Mana?
- First because of the feijoada and also because of the music.
- What can you say about the place for people that haven't come here yet?
- Thursdays are great because the people here are mainly students, the food is great...
... drinks prices are reduced and it's safe.
- Hello, how are you? - I'm great and you?
- Do you want to tell us your name? - I'm Rayssa.
- And why did you come tonight? Is it because of the music, the band...
- I work here.
- And what do you think about the music tonight? - It's great, the band and the dj.
I'm here at Mana to interview Felipe. How are you?
- I'm great and you? - Felipe, how often do you come to Mana?
Well I used to come a lot before, now I'm working and recording here tonight.
- What about you? - I'm always here, I love it!
- Tell me a bit about your story here at Mana. - My story at Mana... we can't live without each other.
- You don't live without Mana? - I don't.
- That's great, come to Mana!
We get in because we were told we're authorized and we'll get a pitcher.
We can't have one because we're working, and you can't drink at work...
... but we're still around. Hey what's up? Whats your name?
So this is the first Panorama at Mana. I hope you enjoyed it.
I'm back with our next edition showing you a different place.
It's the end of the night, people are going home...
... I see you on our next show, this is Panorama on PanTV.
