Quality, Consistency and Efficiency... issues which drive all segments of construction...
Since 1998, Fritz-Pak has developed a complete line of powdered admixtures for the concrete construction industry.
With award winning and patented technology, Fritz-Pak products give you the control you need to adjust your concrete on the road, on the job, and at the plant.
One of the fastest growing markets in Ready-Mix Concrete is the production of Controlled Low Strength Materials, also known as Flowable Fill.
Flowable Fill is a cementitious backfill that hardens rapidly and develops load-bearing properties without the need for compaction.
Flowable fill can be made of most anything. It typically can, constitutes sand, cement, fly ash – almost no water. Typically the moisture that we’ve found in the sand is enough moisture for the product.
You can blend pea gravel in if you want… you can make flowable fill out of many different products… it dumps out fast. It washes down very quickly… It’s a great, great market for the ready mix producer.
Flowable fill is an excellent alternative to conventional back fill applications. Too often this backfill is poorly compacted, resulting in deterioration of roadways. Repeated repair can results in a waste of taxpayer dollars.
The product, project we're on now, uh, the street is falling in - they didn't get good compaction on the material that they put in to back fill their sewer line and so we're excavating down to the sewer line and refilling with this excavate-able backfill..
...Some areas, they used concrete over top of their sewer line and its a mess to get out - they're ripping waterlines out of the ground.
By using flowable fill, the job can get done quickly and efficiently. Unlike other backfills, there is no need for shoring, or expensive compaction equipment.
Flowable Fill is very sturdy and stable once hardened. It is safer, more reliable, and more cost effective than alternative backfill methods.
Fritz-Pak’s Fill Flow is a specialty admixture designed specifically for the production of controlled low strength materials.
Fill Flow is a very high strength surfactant that causes air bubbles to form in cement. It creates billions of air bubbles that act as tiny ball bearings.
This dramatically increases the flow properties of the mix while also increasing the volume.
We also use a flow-able fill product called Fill Flow, for our control low strength material mixes. It works great. We typically achieve between 20 to 26 % air in our products.
We're actually using just a little less that one bag per yard to get our 25, our target of 25% air. A 10 yard truck is taking 7 to 8 bags...
...this job is the first job we've done with Fritz-Pak where it'd be 2 to 300 yards a day.
So we've dosed, you know, pre-dosed 3, 5 gallon pails, you know, ready to throw into a truck ahead of time.
The driver simply dumps the contents in the hopper and he's ready to go.
This product gives us great stable air content in our CLSM material, or flow-able fill material. It's very consistent.
We get good flowabilaity with our products. We have no segregation and no settlement. It's worked great for us. The performance is fantastic
For backfill applications, nothing beats the efficiency and productivity of Flowable Fill. It benefits all fields of construction, from ready-mix producers, to contractors, and to project owners.
By using Fritz-Pak’s Fill Flow, you can make your next flowable fill job a success.
