Pure rosemary essential oil is naturally anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and antiseptic, so it makes
an excellent preservative in natural skin care products and it also makes an excellent
skin tonic for any kind of skin conditions that are caused from excess bacteria or congested
pores. While you can use it in skin care products you never want to apply it directly to the
skin in undiluted form; it's much too strong and much too concentrated and can cause irritation.
Rosemary essential oil has actually been shown to be effective in treating scalp conditions
as well including hair loss and dermatitis of the scalp. To use rosemary essential oil
on the skin or the scalp you can dilute it with water or use it with a carrier oil like
jojoba or sweet almond oil. Rosemary essential oil can be a little bit hard to find but you
should be able to find some great natural moisturizers and shampoos and hair treatments
that do contain rosemary essential oils. So it's something to look for in your natural
beauty products.
