Do you like fried foods
but you avoid them because they're not good for your health?
I'll show you how to fry food in a more healthful way.
You'll need a heavy pan like this one.
Add canola oil more or less half of the way up
and let the oil get nice and hot.
Don't fill it to the top with oil because when you add the food it could spatter and burn you.
The oil must reach a temperature between 350 and 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Perfect.
This allows the food to cook quickly
and to absorb less oil.
I'm frying these croquettes,
but if you're frying other types of foods,
you must make sure they're dry before dipping them in oil.
Once they're ready,
I drain them and place them on paper towels
to absorb the remaining oil.
Easy, right?
