I hope this Closed Captioning pays off, I'm too lazy to do it, lol.
Hello, I'm SpaceNinja, and this is another PS1 playthrough
where I'll do Tony Hawk's Pro Skater's ...obviously its PS1 version.
But, I have a gues here this time. [He'll be captioned as OC:]
OC: Hi, I'm the guest, OC. [Overcooler in short]
And...
Did you know, how much hassle it took us to make this work...
OC: Hassle for you!
Well, you were needed for it as well, so...
Did you know how much hassle was it - I'll say it this way then
- While you see the Activision and the Neversoft logos on screen
...to record the game as you see it right now?
Now...
Originally I would have used the 1.13 version of the pSX emulator,
Good, I tried it, but... hey is it supposed to start that slow? Whatever.
So, I downloaded the emulator, I paused the game, "Please insert controller"
I have it in my hand! *pushes buttons*
So, I watched it... OC: But it only matters if the controller's plugged in, not if it's in your hand!
Well yeah, it wasn't plugged! So that emulator has failed.
Okay, so I thought I'll stick to PCSX so I downloaded that.
Downloaded, installed, even worse quality then...
There was another older PS1 emu, awful, so it lagged without recording
with default settings, so I said this also goes into the trash can.
I downloaded some plugins (I said drivers though, lol) for ePSXe...
We have found the right solution, but sometimes the sound was laggy, but other times it wasn't.
It will even lag even here, but I'm sorry for this.
It'll be like this... okay.
So we checked with OC to see if it's recordable like this last afternoon,
did some testrecordings, all right,
BUT, I can't show him the game via Skype!
So what am I doing now? Streaming the game for OC through Tinychat.
Okay, so this would all be good, while the intro has ended
So I thought I'll download an earlier version on pSX, and IT WORKS!!!
Get it? The newer build doesn't support the game, while the older one does!
OC: There could be a different plugin in this version. Dunno.
Possibly.
So we go with Tony Hawk... OC: Tony "fap" [Note: "hoki" in Hungarian means fapping AND hockey as well]
I'll set the turning to loose as usual...
And the colour to... OC: to "loose", so you won't win...
Yes. Let it be this colour... And let's begin in the Warehouse level.
[Insider joke. That is not me, btw.]
Oh, so the advantage of the pSX emu is that you can actually see the load screen!
Here originally you'd have seen a picture of a... "woman", I could say that in quotes...
...and a guy as this pic would have spun around, but... but no! [Note: I did make it though. XD]
So there's 5 tasks on each level
3 is the same on all of them
Two scores, the hidden tape... and the SKATE letters, so 4, not 3 actually.
OC: But why do you have to get a tape? Why not... a Blu-Ray disc? [insider joke again!]
OC: Full HD Blu-Ray discs! Or a cassette!
OC: You get 1080 points, you'd get Blu-Ray...
Yeah, so the scores, the hidden tape... and I almost said secret too!
And... OC: Haha, this is infectious!
So umm...
So the tasks are the same, but the points will be bigger and bigger...
And the letters are easy to get as usual, meanwhile I got the 15000 points...
I'll start to collect the boxes.
The music is choppy, but it's the emulator, so... [Note: I did THPS3 on 1.13 w/o lag...]
But it runs stable! OC: If it annoys you, donate him a PS1!
And something I can record with, an Easycap for example.
It works with the old emulator, but not with the new...
What else did I want to say? Oh, yeah...
The game's somewhat easy in the beginning, but it gets hard later...
Especially the last two-three tasked levels, 'cause the championships are easy
if you know what moves to use
...now I get the T! [OC says an insider joke again, I reply, can't translate this]
And not T-Online, as we don't like that.
...I think not all like them ooh, missed it.
OC: Well, not a little bit.
Not a bit, true, I still have time, so...
We need a good aim, like this... again, missed it, ***!
OC: Again... not! No, there, this level is done.
In the beginning, all 5 tasks could be done in one round.
OC: An ugly THPS tape. ***!
Thankfully not Betamax tapes!
OC: Or Laserdisk... Full HD Laserdisk!
Or... Philips CD-i disk!
OC: Did you hear it? What? OC: Got a pm on Facebook...
No, I didn't. Okay, so Miami level...
7500&25000 points, and the five... OC: ***, don't write, dork! ...tables to grind!
So, let's start here...
Well, not like this to bail on the desk! Select changes view,
so you can see Tony from further, I forgot this on the first level,
so we saw Tony closer, who-got-up laggy! OC: Could be an electrical skateboard.
Great, you jump there, like that. We get... THE TAAAPE!
[gipsy accent] Tape, 3300 points! Not a lot.
Do a kickflip, whatever: OC: I thought you'd do something else.
OC: DON'T WRITE, ***, leave me alone, my phone also gets notifications...
Got 9K points. OC: Lettercollecting feels like Tom Turbo...
Forgot one table to grind, did a bail, you get up there, I really forgot one...
OC: Lunch tables... Lunch trailer, lunch tables...
And I got the third table. So good to see it changing colours when you grind it!
OC: With such a big power it changes colour! OH, 8K points!
OC: It'll be red... Like Martin's glans? OC: Yeah...
OC: But it'll only turn red in Feri's mouth... wait what? [insider joke!]
Let's hope, Martin doesn't watch this, but... knowing him, it's not happening!
Can I get 7K pts in 15 sec? I think not. OC: He'll comment "Why you say I don't view? Shame on you! Grade F!"
I can't get 25K!
Especially if it doesn't respond to the grab moves when I press circle...
Did I get it? OC: Yeah! Just, only just...
Still did 3 tapes in one run. Letters, and the tables are left!
It'll be done quick as I don't need to get points.
But don't jump... I didn't press X, stupid. Got table number one...
It's good the music is silent as I don't get copyright crap on the video...
OC: Yeah, that's good. But I didn't have any with mine... I think.
Second table...
Maybe I'll put the links in the desc... OC: No need to do it. Yeah, you're right.
But how do you... don't knee it! OC: We can name these holders as food is kept on them!
Talk about what you heard in the news! [Note: it's childish speak btw, about holders... no point of translating that]
[Seriously, with snow, a kid and a snowman... Now bring some food in or something.]
OC: I don't remember, ***! Wasn't it about a carrot?
[Now I tell him to search on Skype]
[And now OC reads this...]
OC: This button is held by this holder!
OC: And then Pro [a guy we both know] would randomly appear, say "holder" and then *** on the snowman!
I imagined it. OC: He'd duck above the snowman, he'd do it hardcore and *** on its mouth!
OC: He'd draw a smile on him, *** a crescent roll!
Do you think he wouldn't do a big pile?
OC: It's just the appetizer! Oh!
I'm sure I couldn't grind the lamp! OC: Sure!
I do have to get back to get the letters, so if I'm here...
OC: Good, good, if I'm here, I'll fall and fail! I forgot the K letter.
How could you? He's boring himself at work.
OC: He's not bored, you left him at the weedS!
DO I need 30K? Not bad. I already did 20K...
OC: Will you fail again? Let's see.. ***, goddamnit.
Okay I'll do the other tasks and I come back to the tape next time. Could do 4 tasks in one run.
Only 4000-somethingish points needed
***, *** Madonna move... OC: Why doing that, when you have not a lot time left?
[the insider joke with the T letter]
I'm sure I won't make it. Here I'm sure I mess something up!
OC: Not enough speed for the E?
That's what I meant. Not getting the points!
OC: You shouldn't have needed speed for that.
Not for speed, I needed that for points. To get the 30K.
OC: Oh, then you won't make it. Go get the E and the final board.
OC: You *** up But I could turn back...
But I got 30K...
***, ***, ***...
OC: You should have do it from the other side, it's far from this side!
***, I missed it, not picking the *** E letter up!
OC: Now you have to get that AND the hidden tape too! Almost said secret again...
At least I got the points and the boards, so...
You could shortcut it, if you start going the other way.
True, but I'm... too lazy.
OC: Get the K from the weed, he's probably high by now.
[insider joking about a guy we both know named Kronnas]
Yes, yes, yes! Oh, I'm sure I miss it... GOT IT!
OC: Got it and landed it. ***! But you got them... oh there's the E... A, not E, it's not SKETA.
Would be weird! OC: Yeah.
It's in THPS4 where the letters are all over the place.
OC: We said that there would be a hard to reach C letter in such a *** stupid place...
...you *** up, nope, got it. And when you mess up, you'd get C's laugh. [Note: C is a guy we know]
So far it's quick, 15 min 50 sec. Checking the used time.
So far, it's not bad.
I'd bet I'll start with a bail here in the first heat. OC: I think not.
OC: ***, you purposedly bailed! No, not, I swear.
OC: Set-up! You know what? I restart it.
So you can't say "pirate" [Insider joke again]
So, 15K points are enough here for first place, 30 seconds or so.
...if the game would react to the game, when I press circle,
...so the grab move would be done. I need to get used to the controller.
Okay, so I have to press circle separately. One more move... that's enough.
But that wasn't me. And I still got 91 points, that's enough. 93-94 in the next one and I win!
I stop purposedly in a way so I wouldn't bail after I stop.
OC: But you enjoyed it. I did, at least we got a funny part of this level as well.
But press... doesn't react to circle, unbelievable.
OC: But say it for yourself to press it, heh!
I do it, but as it seems, I have to press circle when the animation is finished. I observed it.
I have more than enough points. Sto-sto-stop there. There.
So, 95.2, more than enough. Cool, we can move on now.
I'll choose a different board, just for prinking.
OC: But there's no difference in performance. Exactly, that's true.
Okay, so Minneapolis. OC: As we could see that board often!
I think I'll start with the scores and the 5 signs.
At least that is practical.
OC: And then you get 2 Blu-Ray... and then... BUT NOT LIKE THAT! Idiot!
You should jump on that... long rail! I say... OC: Yeah, I messed this up a few times.
Great, kiss the ground. Nice job, Tony. Oh, but what're you doing!
And now is the Superman track playing. How fitting. OC: And you just got the S letter.
Sign number one!
OC: K just used the hookah Yeah!
OC: But he doesn't watch this, whatever...
Who knows, maybe he watch it. Or I force him to do so! OC: Why? True...
15K points. Fingerflip, D-R-Square? Varial, also not bad.
Wow, how did I land that?
Do I need 35K or 40K points? OC: 40.
Don't I need 40K on Downhill? OC: No, here.
We'll see soon, hopefully. OC: 40K is needed.
29K, well... we'll hope... Hey, a bail, was about time...
11K point, and I can get 4-5K from grinds.
OC: Damnit, I'm still so tired I forget to laugh at you when you bail.
Like now? OC: Yeah, but too late. I need to do that in time.
OC: There was the secret tape, you could have got that.
For that, I have to get to the top of the building.
OC: Oh, it wasn't that, I'm stupid, that was money. The tape's on the top of the building.
You mean points. Money is in THPS2. OC: Then points, whatever.
This money thing is stupid...
No, no, no, the stat points in 3 is stupid, not the money.
OC: I didn't like that neither.
Aw, ***, I need 4K points, 4!
3K points left, oh noes. OC: This is where all taxis are hitting me when I need that much.
Got it, got it, got it!
OC: Damnit!
Now if it'd hit me, it'd be nice OC: IT WENT THROUGH YOU! WTF?
It wasn't right.
OC: Now I'll laugh at you. Great, great!
Okay, so the letters and the signs.
No need to get points, so I could play careful.
I'm sure a taxi will hit me still! OC: Haha, that's fundamental!
Plus, I think that one will be two.
Where am I going, this isn't the way!
I'm going into the bushes... [insider joke, quoting a Hungarian video]
Here's the third sign. Jump up there, there, and now you STOP. There.
Yeah, the 4th sign is behind one of the signs on the right, if I remember properly.
There's E up there, there's the T!
Great, so hit the sign. OC: You hit the lamppost. Lamppost, lamppost, lamppost!
Got this too!
OC: You have to get into the building.
No, I can get up from here too.
But not if I stop... OC: Yeah, you can, but you'll *** it up, so go the other way I say.
We'll see. OC: Won't get it. Haha! Why not? Here's the T.
OC: How dare you just jump up here?
I'll get the tape. OC: Your body got cut. [Insider joke, refering an old telenovel]
OC: Tony's having a cut face, he's been cut by the glass.
Don't drop there, you need a straight drop.
We'll find it out. Nice!
Now the E... OC: Okay, that was cheating, you said nice... and...
Get up already! Stopping at the video. OC: You laid down to watch a movie there!
Stopped at the video clip, congrats! I'm sure I won't get the E...
OC: As I said, it's cheating, as you could have said anything after ni... like nein, not nice!
Oh, oh, oh, yeah! I got it! OC: Rot, you! Got this too, beautiful!
Got this quickly too...
OC: Fffuuu, this cooks my hand...
...I mean, not cooking, coo... what? It burns, 'kay?
OC: Downhill Jam is a name of a later TH game.
[So, what the hell is a valve in Hungarian, I asked here]
OC: You need 40K here too.
That's stupid. Why not 30 or 35? OC: You needed 40K in the previous level too, just saying.
But, it could be more. OC: But why do you want 35 here? Not here, in Downtown.
OC: But you still got it, so why are you crying?
OC: Can you jump up there? No. Let's start again.
OC: How many times will we hear that?
Let's get the S letter. OH, 5800 points! This is the valve what you missed...
...in the N64 port, it's in a stupid place, I was also looking for it. How did it get there?
Still found it, by landing there. "Hey, is that the second valve?"
[After valve's Hungarian translation]
Here are 100 points in boxes. Stop, there's the A letter, get it!
Have already 30K, don't miss it, idiot, get the A already, don't be trash talking!
Finally.
OC: He's trained to jump around on gates, getting letters?
Stop, stop, stop, there, jump, I said jump, *** your mother!
Got 34K points though, okay, so I get the T here.
[OC hiccups, my idiot brother couldn't get out to the balcony and *** like a retard]
OC: There's E... I had to stop the game for a sec.
I'm getting the points first. OC: You won't make it. Yeah, I think so. Tryin' still.
OC: You'll make it, 2K points, got it. Now get speed!
Maybe enough... no, no. OC: Quick, you have one more chance.
I'm sure I won't make it. OC: I'd laugh if you'd make it. Me too.
Yes, you were right, I did it.
OC: Oh, do some tricks too...
OC: My hands got burnt meanwhile.
OC: 50K, yeah right, 51K I'm sure it's not enough for 1st place on the toplist.
Told ya.
So valves, and the tape. I'm sure I'll have a bigger problem getting the tape than...
OC: Yeah, you say it when you miss the first valve...
OC: You should have used Retry...
No need for that much time. OC: But you'd start from a better position. True.
I shouldn't bail after the third valve. Now I have enough speed to move... but I miss the jump, so retry!
I had to pause as my cube brother had to do his laundry on the terrace and you could hear his pissy voice.
Am I faulty... ***... that my chair is next to the terrace door?
OC: Put it somewhere else. Where. Where? ***, it's unbelievable
that while we get over 30 minutes to do...
OC: Doesn't matter, I have fun. Well, me too!
Finally! But I missed it!
OC: You'll *** it again! This will be the gag of this play- through: not grinding the 1st valve!
OC: Can't even jump there, let alone grind it! Well, that's true.
Okay, I'm pressing it early... Why am I not playing it on a keyboard? Would be easy. FINALLY.
I'm sure I'll mess up somewhere.
OC: Now you'll miss the jump.
OC: For example, you missed the second valve.
Here's the second, all I need is just to go there. This is the penultimate level with tapes,
So it's plausible that I fail here.
Hopefully... I'll rather stop here. You don't need big speed for this. You jump, like that...
OC: No need for big speed, yeah right
That's true, the game's saying the truth.
OC: It doesn't say Please try harder, instead You suck!
[Zelda CD-i references]
I slowed down at the wall, interesting. Try 2.
OC: Well, will you make it? Well?
I jumped at a weird angle, that was the problem.
OC: You won't... you did it! I always say you won't make it, and you always do it!
Now I won't make that! OC: Just in the favour of you.
Stop, stop, stop, go back.
OC: I so like when you have to get up to places in weird ways and you keep bailing.
I think everyone likes it. I won't have enough speed...
I just did made that.
One valve left. And that's not hard to get. If I fail it, I'll laugh at myself. Loud!
Noooo, unbelievable, go back! OC: Won't make it, not enough time!
OC: ***! See, I say it purposedly you won't make it, and there was still time...
...this is a mental help from my part. Oh my god, we're at 33 min, and 3 levels left!
What did we say last day? 80 minutes? Could be, if I mess up here. OC: Not here, in San Francisco.
I hate this level, even in Grind Session. A lot.
OC: Interestingly, the view distance is great here, with no fog around.
Cause the level is not big, so the PS1 can handle it easily. OC: Yeah, it's just a pool, and bye.
35K points needed here to win.
How did I land that? OC: And no manuals in this game, so it's harder to get points.
OC: I recommend grinding a lot here, reaps a lot of points.
OC: Could be the predecessor of the manual move, for longer combos and big points, if you found sweet spots.
OC: Won't get 35K! Hopefully this will be enough, 32, 34K...
OC: See, I said it purposedly, it's a sort of reverse psychology, saying you won't make it and you actually do, dunno.
93,6? If I do a 91-92 points run, I'll win this.
This is a miracle how this goes so far. OC: It's because of my reverse psychology, it's an avowed technology of mine.
Making me sleep with that? OC: No, I'm fooling you, to make you do them, while you say you won't! 3K points, lol.
[Insider joke of a Hungarian videomaker, discussion where I'll do the next reference]
OC: What the *** is this creep writing again, my God...
31K points, don't bail! It'll be enough. 93.1, brought this in first too.
36:55, oh my God, how does this go so well? OC: Jinxed yourself, you'll *** it up.
Now, we can say, where I'll fail a lot. OC: Hidden tape! Yeah.
Let's start with the cars and the letters. It's so stupid, it's not the S the closest, it's the K instead.
OC: You should go to the left instead then.
This is where I'm making a combo, getting the K, scoring 12K points with a nicely done grind combo.
Here's car 3 and 4. Doesn't care about points, let's do the collectibles first. Each level has two of these.
Here's the A. 4K for that? Okay. 1234 LOL.
OC: Like my PIN code, what? Whatever..
Here's T! [insider joking] Hey, I got through the door!
Here's the E, but won't get it if I can't jump through.
OC: Tony could go through the window anytime. Imagine it, what is it, a pool? Looks like a pool.
It seems like a temple. OC: THAT is a temple? Why's a *** big pool there?
Dunno, religious sanctuary. OC: Having a bath here? Can't come out?
Yeah, so... OC: See, if you'd come to the left, could have got the S letter.
OC: It's ordered like this. Going around? How dare you?
OC: Won't have enough time. Can't jump up there... and it happened! Told ya I can't make it.
OC: Now you should do a manual or a revert and a manual, getting up there, but there's neither, so we *** up all right here!
Got the cars... so let's do the ... letters! OC: Now go left first, then right!
Or I should start with the points... okay, second thought, I won't! Flew to the end of the world there.
Picking up the S.
How laggy is the music, whatever. Don't care, not important in the game.
OC: But at least it has good music! True. At least the series in good in this. [and some insider joking]
OC: What do you mean "at least"? You keep going in circles again.
The latest episodes isn't that good. OC: True, I don't like them neither and you *** up again...
[insider joke again] Now it's too HAAAARD.
Now I'll start with the K. OC: But you didn't promise it this way...
I told you... true, you're right. You're missing the jump. No. We're going for the letters.
Points later... and the tape. How much I will suffer with that, good Lord.
OC: Going to the right?
Left. OC: But you said right.
[OC hiccups and apologizes]
OC: Now you won't get out of the pool, where the clerics do their *** rituales..
...bathing in children's blood.
Getting the... E.
***, I thought I'll hit the wall head on.
I jumped that big enough. OC: You'd hit the bell. Wouldn't have been surprising...
...if I break myself.
OC: But since when are that big windows on temples? And Y U NO GET T?
Cause I won't have enough time to score points, so I could use the remaining time for stg else.
Like to bail here? OC: But you didn't get the T. I know, I'm going there now.
OC: But it was closer. I should have turned here, aah...
This horn sound is the same as the 356's horn in NFS: Porsche 2000. When I heard it, I asked "WTF NFS?"
I had that game when I was a kid.
Will I bail? No. OC: Go have a bath in that pool.
Let's do something here... 5900 points, not 25K.
OC: Now the points? The points, yeah.
Knowing myself I either get 49900 points or... OC: Or you bail like that?
Or, 56-57K, I don't have "just making it', but I did that a few times here so far...
What was that? Going on the wall. OC: You don't score points this way. I'm always making a combo here.
OC: You could have grinded down.
Good for a start. OC: Well, if you do that 4x...
Problem is that I get less points for grinding. OC: Then 5x. Or with other moves.
OC: If you grind on the left, you would get points.
500... wow, 9000 point move.
Hopefully I can get at least this, so the hardest remains, the tape...
[insider joke:] OC: What is this, only a 720p spin? Why isn't there an 1080p one?
1080p spin, LOL!
Do I see properly that I have 43K points already, WTF? OC: You don't.
But don't do crap moves, Tony... OC: 75 points, haha!
OC: Will be big, 180 points! This one as well, 1120... [insider joke] that's more than 1080!
OC: And now comes the tape... Dunno where to get up there other than this point.
OC: There must be another way. Yeah, but we don't know it. OC: We're stupid.
I admit it, I'm stupid. Dunno where to get up there somewhere else.
OC: Don't even try, not enough time. Just use retry so you can skip these tapes while still getting them.
And now comes the hardest task while we're at 47 minutes. If I can do this quick, could be done
under an hour. And that would very ruthless, a non-TAS 100% run under an hour.
OC: Are there TAS videos for THPS other than 3? Yeah, there is.
There is one from 1, 5-6 minutes. OC: Only seen 3's, that's less than 15 minutes...
I need speed here... no, not the tram, this quarter-pipe here. Good. Let's go.
I'll try wallriding, maybe... OC: Nope. Nope...
We have time, so I only need to do this task... and getting hit by the car would be good.
...it used the horn, but it didn't hit me, it was too late. OC: Could have hit you without noticing.
Why do you stop in the wall? OC: This is a mental warfare, to make you notice it with your own receptors.
What are we even talking about? OC: Not spotting getting ran over by the Hippiwagen... I mean VolksWagen.
OC: I spotted it, but you didn't.
HOW did I land that? OC: Nohow! [insider joke] I landed upside down!
I know, it's a good game, but Never- soft did some weird things! How will I get up there, OMG?
OC: Go out for some chips, popcorn Or even take a dump! OC: Do the homework... just kidding.
Or before school! OC: I meant in the morning. Don't diss me! 60K is the record here.
Can I get there from the other building? OC: You didn't stop at the Stop sign.
Hey, here's something... OC: Too high. Go straight, there's that way up.
I want to get there, I'll try wallriding. OC: Too high. Too high indeed. Seems logical, but no.
How can I get there properly? Again... at the ledge! Why can't he grind it, it would be fine.
Up there, dropping, getting up, but no. Or here... almost, missed me. Getting up there from here?
OC: Nah, too high.
Let's see if... I can get up there from here somewhere.
Isn't here a ramp at the other side?
But it's next to it...
I read there are many ways, but I can't find it, only this one. But here's a ramp too...
52 minutes by the way. OC: I'll check it and not tell you. One hour is out of the question...
OC: I'll check it to be smarter than you. Like a fifth grader?
OC: How couldn't I notice that? So didn't I... OC: It's so... so.
OC: If you couldn't find it, I'll help you. ["tök" also means pumpkin in Hungarian, but here it means so.]
Why not tomato? OC: Because SO!
Let me guess, I'm trying the most stupid way. That's sure...
Yes, yes, yes! OC: The Hippiwagen hit you! Dunno if we can name it a "way"...
So is it the typical "only dumbs can't find it, it'so obvious"? OC: No. Just find something.
Why do I have a suspicion that it's close here. OC: If the round's over, should I tell it?
I think I can get up there from here. Almost hit the edge... OC: Cold, cold, cold...
Cold, sure, but I don't have much time and have nothing to lose... Almost.
What's this ramp?
Oh, so that's a fountain? Didn't even know that, LOL!
Good, do a bail, yes. Let's hear it then, if you want to say. OC: Go down.
OC: Turn left, didn't stop at the stop sign, keep going on the road.
OC: Collect some speed at the quarterpipe to get on the fountain.
OC: The entrance of the fountain is on the right as you can see. Turn left and look at it.
OC: See, there's a ramp... You serious that there's a way? How are we that stupid?
How didn't we spot it so far? Seriously, who was the idiot who did this?
OC: Just checked a playthrough. And I kept trying to get up at the building, it's a joke!!!
That's such a stupidity. Logical, but it's in a stupid way. Neversoft was tricky, not obvious...
OC: Did I see another Stop sign for the incoming traffic too? ***...
So don't jump here at first. I musn't do that, only at the second ramp. I missed it again.
OC: Try at the other q-pipe from the right side.
Missed it. OC: You keep hitting the same wall. This will be another gag...
Oh ***, that's... I don't say anything. And you do have to get up from here, who would have thought?
Oh stop stop stop stop, okay... So only one building to jump, and then a left turn.
OC: Did you pick the tape up your way? Yeah, with all the characters.
Seriously, I admit it. Didn't get only one character, Private Carrera. But beat it with all, hit that wall again.
OC: When I play as ***, I always have a feeling like playing True Crime on PS1.
Great, lamp post. OC: And almost got hit! And the Cyco Vision track is playing.
[Chad Warden imitation]
1 hour 26 seconds. OC: Won't be easy still. But at least easier to get up.
OC: See how big can you grind here? What stuff we learn here.
At least I got five valves and won at Burnside... but I might not get the tape here...
If I'm up there, it'd be easier... but not if you miss, so you stop, don't log on Skype argh...
OC: Won't have enough speed. How can he get up here? OC: I told you, electrical thing.
If you don't press X... see... OC: Then he won't go up...
Well, this wasn't my plan. If I press X, I get speed... OC: How did the tram hit him!
Only twice, he knows something. OC: The wall gave the second hit. Won't have enough time.
That was hard, it wasn't my idea. OC: No probs. This could be an achievement in THPSHD.
OC: What is it, red and hurts?
8+ days healing injury, achievement unlocked... missed it! But I had speed for that!
See how good it went up to this point and now suddenly the *** tape gives "it's too hard" thoughts?
OC: Cause it's not Blu-Ray. You don't fall down!
[OC does a random ad of a Hungarian YT partner... lol.]
Slowly, carefully, right... OC: But you won't make it that way. I'll have enough speed.
Could do a savestate here, but I won't OC: Don't do, we want to see you suffer.
OC: You'll *** it up first and then realize how to do it.
Fastplant move and... ***! I got the gap... OC: Say "*** life"
*** LIFE! *** OC: Why didn't you bail with the Madonna move?
OC: Stop sign! Wanted to hear me curse that way, huh?
[OC now says exactly how] With a Mickey mouse voice.
Now I got up there in first try. OC: Now you'll *** it up. That would be nice...
Now comes the hard part, that turn...
OC: I would have laughed if you dropped.
Fastplant move and GOT IT! Finally, ***!
OC: How much did we waste on this task? About fifteen minutes, at least!
We're at 65 minutes, so I could still be faster than you, although I do it for 100%, not for speed.
Only one championship left. Found a good place to do a good grind combo to get around 20K if done good.
I'll show it, but getting some first. Music lags, not giving a ***, that's not important.
Gameplay is, that doesn't lag visually, (it does a bit though, ***) GREAT, congrats, doesn't matter...
Hopefully I'll get it still. OC: Bails deduct a lot. About 2 points, 1-1.5
Showing the combo place. So get to the other side, get speed in the half-pipe and grind here.
OC: And the half-pipe has a weird souns, PPPPPPPPNGHHHHHH. Really disturbing.
Hopefully I won't miss it. OC: And I say it without hearing it, so memories...
Let's restart so I don't miss the jump... but I will do it again...
8200, 11400...
OC: What did you say, how much do you need to win? Here... about...
BUT WHAT DO YOU DO, unbelievable, oh my god... about 40-45K points. Might be much, sometimes 30-35.
Once the AI got 96 points, so... OC: Depends on the tricks. And the points the AI get.
So, you should jump... unbelivable, I can't do that *** combo.
It's a miracle that I got here 100%, it's the hardest THPS game on the PS1...
At least I got the Low Deck Gap. So you grind, kickflip, and see, 14K, could be as high as 20K.
OC: You can do a lot with grinds, but you seem to prefer grabs.
Yes, so I got stuck in the half-pipe. OC: But you didn't bail.
Trying not to bail, but knowing myself I'll do one here... let's see... 47K points, 94.4
OC: You'll get it I think. Second got 90.6 [talking about a Hungarian radio named Rádió 1]
Okay, so 35-36K points and the game is done. OC: But don't *** it up.
Three runs, so... OC: As I said, now purposedly. I could skip this run, or do this...
OC: We'll see how it goes.
At least I did that.
Okay, just doing this too. Not continuing that one, don't want to mess it up.
OC: Not doing the grind? Getting over the other side.
I'm a bit nervous, I adm... admit it, ***! I'll do a shortened one... OR NOT!
But don't... OC: How I love when he does that!
80.9 OC: Third place!
At least I know I need 30K, cause I bailed a few, count that in. OC: Three, not a few.
Is there a crowd voice? OC: No, not here. Would be interesting in Roswell...
OC: The half-pipes are also that. That's true... does that count a bail? OC: No, because you didn't lose points.
I hope I'll still make it, would be funny *** up in the end.
I'll do something short in reverse. BUT NOOOO, ***, NOOO, *** if I can't make it... [OC says grind]
3K move in the end, please tell 90. something. GOT IT.
YES, did it! With 4.2 points, but this wasn't a good run. OC: Neither for him, 89 point run.
So the game's 100% with one char. I can't believe it.
Let's see the bails.
Nice nutbreaker.
OC: The rails are the most dangerous...
There are some hard bails here.
Wow... and he stood up after that!
The first was the biggest so far.
Wow, how big can they bail, and his hat fell off!
They won't have kids after this. Skaters don't reproduce that much. They do kids in advance!
Nice... so, all three golds, cool, let's see TH's ending video, you always get the ending if you get all 3 golds.
Tapes are only needed for Officer ***.
I wonder if this video has Tony's 900. And I didn't do specials in the game! Only once, and then I bailed.
75 minutes, and staff roll, and it'll be around 80 minutes. OC: I bet 80 in the first...
OC: And the N64 version has no videos.
To recap, gotta say that this isn't the best THPS game, as you can't do big scores, but thus it's challenging.
You saw how much I suffered with the tape, taking me about 15-20 minutes until OC said how to get that.
True, not the best out of the four, I think the 4th is the weakest with the combos, and 900K in 2 minutes...
The first one's challenge is to combo the flips and grinds and the grind combos. Whoever has X360 or PS3, I can tell...
...that THPSHD comes this summber, picking levels from the first two games, but with no manuals and reverts, as far as I know.
Who liked the first parts should check it out, it won't really be expensive, but Activision didn't say much yet.
I say try that, or this, this is fun, not the best, music is good, sfx are... weak, but can get used to it, and it's hard.
OC: It came out on N64, PS1 and Dreamcast. THPS2's PC port has 3 levels from this game, Warehouse, Downhill Jam and... forgot the third.
Could be Roswell? Whoever played the the other three should try this too. Probably most of you has had one of the four THPS4 games.
I had 2-3-4, but 4's NTSC, so it was black and white as my '97 AKAI TV didn't have NTSC support, but I played 4 through on a real console.
But only 2 goals wasn't doable for me out of all on Kona with the two special moves, if I did a playthrough, I'll only cheat at those goals.
I remember, one day I tried for three hours to do those goals, and I only took five minute breaks twice. I think the staff roll ends soon.
Special thanks going so far. OC, did you enjoy it? OC: It was good in my opinion. It wasn't the best, but the first half was great.
OC: I said it was good in my opinion. Thanks! How much is left, oh my God.
If you're still here, dear viewers, tell us if we should do THPS2 as well, just say so, then we'll sit down and do it.
OC: If you are into Underground 1-2-American Wasteland, I say you should avoid this game.
So that's all. 81 minutes, thanks for the attention, watching, listening, laughing, as you probably laughed at some points.
[usual Hungarian way of saying bye in my videos, same goes for OC. Should I do more videos like this or bye-bye English viewers? Testing. ;)]
