bjbjD Hi, this is Chris from the Adaptive Services Division of the DC Public Library
the Library the Blind and Physically Handicapped. We've already gone over how to browse and
download books from the NLS BARD Talking Book web site. Now we re going to go over transferring
those books from your computer on to your Victor Reader Stream using the Steam Companion
software. So the first thing you need to do is make sure that the Stream is plugged into
your computer with the USB cable, and it needs to be off before you plug it in. So after
it s plugged in, you turn it on.
Okay, it said PLAYER CONNECTED. Now the computer And the Victor are going to talk to each other.
Okay, what you want Windows to do is nothing, so re going to ARROW DOWN
until you hear it say TAKE NO ACTION. And now you re going to go to the
desktop and go to the Stream Companion software. Press ENTER
okay so you've heard it say the title, THE CALHOUNS, and then you heard it say NOT SELECTED,
so you re going to press SPACE BAR to select. That's important because You want to select
it to transfer. And then you re going to TAB TAB over until you hear it say TRANSFER /
REMOVE SLECTED TALKING BOOK. So I m going to TAB And you re going
to hear it say, re going to hear it ping, and then you going to hear
it say the percentage of its progress. This is going to take a little while. five percent seven percent nine percent twelve percent forty eight percent sixteen
