The aftermath of two explosions in Benghazi. SOUNDBITE: Benghazi resident Hasan al Bakoosh
saying: "We went out to see the blast. Then the second blast rocked the area and smashed
the glass windows and houses in the square. We came out to the site and found this damage
and injured people." Thirteen people were wounded in the attacks outside of a courthouse
in the northern part of the city. According to a Benghazi security official, assailants
threw an explosive device under a car as it was parking in front of the court." The second
blast went off in front of the Justice Ministry. The eastern Libyan city has seen a wave of
violence since last year and just a day earlier, more than 1,1100 people escaped from a local
prison.
