Hi, everyone. Ellie here with HairKandy. It took me a while to figure out how to do a
high sleek pony with my extensions in. They would stick out or it would be really uncomfortable.
There's a tutorial I've seen where you wrap all of the extensions around your pony tail,
but I just find it's too much hair in one spot and it gives me a headache. I think this
is the perfect alternative. I clipped my extensions in upside down and it just creates this beautiful
high pony. It's perfect for a date night or if you want to have your hair up for work
and it still looks nice. It looks like you actually spent a lot of time on your hair,
but it only takes about five minutes. If you want to see how it's done, stay tuned.
All you'll need for this tutorial is a teasing brush, hairspray, our crocodile clip, a hair
tie, and a flat iron. You would be using all of your extensions except for the one clips.
I am using our 120 gram set and you'll be clipping in half of your extensions upside
down and then the other half will just go back, but you don't want it to show on the
sides, so we'll just be going straight back. To begin, you just section off your bottom
layer right about the middle of your ears and you just want to clip that up. You will
be grabbing a three clip piece and just clipping that upside down. Next, you will be taking
a four clip piece, the longer of the two, and you'll just be doing the same exact thing.
A four clip, make sure it's unclipped, and you just want to clip it in upside down.
Next, this will be the last upside down piece will be one more three clip, I mean four clip.
Once that is clipped, you will be clipping in the rest straight back. You just want to
section off a piece right after the last four clip and you will be putting in a three clip
[left 00:03:01]. Just clip it in the middle and the the two sides.
Last, you have two two clips left and you'll just clip in one a little bit after the three
clip and then the last one a little bit closer to the front. This will just give your pony
tail different layers, especially because the extensions will be at different spots
in your head. You just clip that in. This is where you take the teasing brush. You just want to brush your hair back and
make sure the extensions will be covered. You want to take your hair tie and just gather
your hair into a pony tail. If it helps, you can use your teasing brush to smooth your
hair. You can brush on the bottom too and you can do this as high or as low as you want.
Well, not all the way at the bottom because the extensions are clipped and upside down.
I like to do it right about on the top of my head.
There is your pony tail. I like to pull out a few pieces by my ears. I usually just straighten
them. If there's any pieces in your pony tail that don't blend, you can just curl them.
That is how you do a high pony. You just want to hairspray the top just to smooth everything
out and you're good to go. I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial. If you
