Hey everyone, welcome to " 90 Second Cocktails with the Parched Producer", your stop for
sophisticated concoctions. Today We'll be making a New York Sour.
For this drink, you'll need the following:
rye whiskey or bourbon, red wine, simple syrup, lemon juice, a cocktail mixer, ice, a spoon,
a jigger, and a wine opener.
First, add 2 oz. of your whiskey or your bourbon to your shaker.
(liquid hits bottom of shaker)
Next, add 3/4 oz. of your simple syrup to the shaker.
(liquid hits bottom of shaker)
Then, add 1 oz. of your lemon juice to the shaker.
Now, add the ice to the shaker and shake it until the drink is chilled.
(ice going into shaker)
(lid pops on top)
(shaking noise)
Next, we're going to strain the contents into a rocks glass filled with ice, or something
similar.
(liquid pours into glass)
Here comes the tricky part: next you're going to take the spoon and you're going to hold
it just over the top then you're going to take the wine and pour it ontop of the spoon
so it floats on top of the beverage. Check this out:
And there you have it. You see how the wine just sort of floats on top of the drink like
a reverse tequila sunrise?
