this is a demo/review of the Vox VT40+. as you can see it has different types of amps,
treble, middle, bass, gain, master volume, some effects and more features. let's begin
with the amps: these amps are 11, I don't know if you can see it very well because of
the reflection, there are 11 and at the same time there are 3 different amps for each setting.
making it a total of 33 different amps. this is an amp that some people call "hybrid",
it has a tube 12Ax7, it has a 10in speaker and 8ohms. let's turn it on. it takes a bit
to make a sound this is due to the tube that takes a few seconds to warm up and "spit out" the sound.
as I said, there are three types of amps: the green one is the standard, the
orange one the special, and the red one the custom. let's start with the standard, with
clean setting. each amp has its own sound for the specific artist. we are going clockwise,
then counter-clocwise, and again clockwise. this is the clean setting. one more, this
is "cali clean". "USblues". "US 2x12". this is pre set to play "Creep"by Radiohead.
the classic "Vox AC15". "Vox AC30". "UK Rock". "UK Metal". "US higain". "USmetal".
"BTQ metal". Let's switch to the orange one, this is for a Nirvana type of sound. and back to "US metal"
"US higain". "UKMetal". "UK rock". "Vox AC 30" designed to sound like Deep Purple. "VOXac15".
"VOXac15". "US 2x12". "US blues". "Cali clean". "Clean".
let's try the red one now: "Clean". "Cali clean". "US blues". "US 2x12". "Vox AC 15". "Vox AC 30". "UK rock". "UK metal" guns and
roses. "US hi gain". "US metal". "BTQ metal". those are the amps, and at the same time,
those could be played in 3 different settings giving you a total of 99 presets. It doesn't
matter if you move the switches, like gain or volume, they are already set with their
own sound. if you do it manually, you can create your own sounds, more bass, treble,
etc. to do that, you have to do it through the user programs. it has four channels with
2 banks. you can create 8 of your favourite sounds, and that also functions as a tuner.
you turn it on, my guitar was muted with the volume all the way down. what else? some effects,
let's try "UK rock" some wah. if you turn it to the right, it gives you more intensity, all the way to the left to turn
it off. let's try the acoustic effect with the clean amp, and a little bit of modulation.
what else? I don't know if you can see it or not, these are the modulations. we can
try flanger with UK rock again. the dial at the right is to increase or decrease intensity,
also. The amp comes with effects, modulations like multi chorus, and delay that is
a very popular one. it also comes with reverb. this is the feature that I love the most.
you can adjust it as if it was a tube amp. 40 watts produces the best sound, but you
can turn it up all the way to 60 watts. Aux input for mp3 or cd's, and a headphone jack.
this is a little bit about the Vox VT 40+, if you have any questions or anything, I'm
no expert, I just bought it a few days ago. I paid about 160 US dollars. Anyway, I hope
you find this review useful, for the price I think it is a great deal. Cheers!
