With our pet ranger programme, not only they could learn a skill but to deal with stress and regain confidence
through pet therapeutic effect.
Also, their intimate relationship with your pet could
eliminate social stigma that is attached to them.
Imagine when ex-offenders are released from the prison
by joining our programme,
they will undergo a 12-week all-inclusive holistic training
on pet care and pet grooming with SPCA and pet grooming academy.
Upon completion, they will receive a certificate and mobilise our pet mobile to parks
and HDB void decks, to provide professional pet services such as
pet bathing, pet grooming, pet walking and pet nanny.
We would like to bring pet-loving people together by creating carnival experience to the neighbourhood.
Going through this mission, they will further develop not just their interest and skills in pet grooming,
but will also be exposed to other opportunities.
Eventually, they would gradually gain skill level and hence widen their career prospect.
Our successful pet rangers will bring their stories back to prison as inspirations for inmates.
Ultimately, through this social project,
we hope to promote a more accepting society,
one that is willing to give marginalised women a second chance.
