Open unisub.com and click on 'Templates'
This will take you to the listing of all the templates in Photoshop and CorelDraw format
Save the template of your choice in .eps file format and open in Photoshop
For this example we are using the jigsaw puzzle template 5833
Once the template opens in Photoshop you will be prompt with the window that says 'Rasterise EPS Format'
Change the resolution to 300 pixels and image mode to RGB and click 'OK'
In the top navigation go to Window -> Arrange -> Floating windows
This will make the layer more manageble
Now it's time to open the photo of your choice
Once the photo is open click 'Image' from the drop-down menu
Under 'Mode' make sure that the image is in RGB format
Move down to 'Image size'. Image size needs to be 300 pixels in resolution for optimum image quality
Separate the image and the template into two separate windows
Make sure you have the 'Move' tool selected and hold on the image and drag over to the substrate
You can only do it this way. You cannot drag the substrate to the image
Zoom out of the image to get a better view of the image in comparison to the size of the substrate
Once you have the image on the substrate you can resize by holding down the shift button on the keyboard and dragging the corners in and out
Using the shift key helps to keep the image in proportion
Click 'Enter' to allow the changes
Click on the image layer in the toolbar and hide the image by clicking the eye command
This will hide the image and all you should see is the substrate
Click on the template layer and change over to the 'Magic Wand' tool
Using the 'Magic Wand' click anywhere in the gray and white checked substrate placing a blinking line around the substrate
Click the image layer and unhide the image by clicking on the box where the 'eye' was
You will now see the blinking line around the substrate
Click the 'Delete' or 'Backspace' key and this will turn your image into the shape of the substrate
Click the layer with the substrate image
Click on the 'eye' to hide the substrate image
Using the 'Magic Wand' click anywhere outside the image to remove the blinking lines
As you can see the image size is still larger than the substrate size
To fix this select your 'Crop' tool and crop the image to the size of the box and click 'Enter'
And there you have it. Your once rectangular image is now in the shape of a heart
