COURTNEY KELSO: Back in December, American Express
sort of found this idea to bring live-streaming concerts
out to your bedroom, basically.
We started with Alicia Keys, Alicia Keys and a special
guest with Jay-Z, and we realized that the numbers,
that the reach, and the scale, and the people we were able to
get our message out to and really engage with was
incredible.
So we decided there's really something here.
So we worked to create a new platform, Unstaged, American
Express Unstaged, the notion being that we curate a series
of live-streaming concerts.
We pair the very best musicians, most relevant
musicians, together with some of film's greatest directors,
and we stream this in HD to millions of people across the
globe through our partnership with YouTube and with Beebo.
We use digital and social media to bring innovative new
ways for you to really get involved in the concert from
the comfort of your own home and try and really bridge that
difference between the live, full-sensory experience and
how you can experience it at home.
