Ronny: Good morning Mr. Omer Avni. Ronny: 11:30 in the morning
Omer: Yeah, 11:36, that's true. Ronny: Day 2 of pre production
Omer: True, true. So far I'm happy Ronny: What's the meaning of life?
Omer: What's the meaning of life? to work in the United States. That's the meaning of
life
Ronny: you look, like, worn out.
Ian: I always look tired Ian: Well yeah it's just, you know, I sit
in that booth all day. Like, I sat there for a couple of hours, it's just, it kind of wears
you out. I think I'll get used to it, I think I'm only worn out because this like the first
day, that's it. You got to get used to it. It's like, you know, the first workout, you
can't move the next day. You're like, oh my god that was so hard.
Ronny: So what are we expecting to work on today?
Omer: Today what we are going to do, is come up with more rhythm section ideas to kind
of arrange everything we want to arrange. And, we are going to probably do some more
acoustic recordings of, you know, the middle eastern instruments. Like the Oud, I want
to get a better take, Baglama and all that. It's pretty, pretty out there. and after that,
we'll maybe get some scratch vocals and begin pre production on "Love Is One".
Ronny: What do you expect for the next few days?
Ian: A lot of work. Omer, yeah I expect him to not be easy with me. He's going to tell
me a lot of times, you got to sit down and practice and play that better. That wasn't
good enough, which is, which is good. If you're afraid of your musical producer I think that's
a good point. I don't want to mess with him, I just, I'm going to practice so, cause I
don't want to..
Ronny: What was the hardest part of that?
Ian: The hardest part I think, was the Oud. Being on pitch
Ronny: Why is it difficult to be on pitch with an Oud?
Ian: Because, well as you can see it has this incredibly short neck, and there are no frets
whatsoever . So I got to figure out as I'm playing, so I hear that I'm a bit flat, so
I go up a bit. I'm a bit sharp I go down
Ian: This is the job, This is what we signed up for.
So it's hard, and exciting, and fun. and, not easy but fun, not easy but fun.
Good music coming ahead
