French Anti-Americanism McKennedy Products.
McDonalds + Kennedy = McKennedy – the garbage capitalism colluding with the President reference.
The Statue of Liberty emerging from a commercial barcode – The capitalism crushing liberty
reference. The Statue of Liberty emerging from a Schnitzel
– The German Fascism reference.
French ethnocentrism is so engrained and socially accepted that they continue to reinforce it
nationwide. There is no national discourse that criticizes this phenomenon. Academics
discuss it, but the public does not acknowledge it as a problem (nor do the students for that
matter). The French rabble are proud of their ethnonationalism.
Their offensive remarks take many forms. In this particular example, let us look at the
commercial application with regards to their anti-Americanism. They continually insist
that American has no culture, that, in fact, it is a McDonalds culture and everything that
implies – unhealthy for you, fat, imitation food, greasy and dirty, payment for poison,
and so on.
Then they apply this image to a feeling to a beloved American symbol called John F. Kennedy.
Whether right or wrong, Americans revere JFK the symbol. Attacking JFK in America would
seem inappropriate to most Americans.
The French have created a brand name called Mcennedy. It is a neologism based upon the
two words McDonalds and Kennedy. Therefore, they have made a statement. They simultaneously
insult American culture and attack an American symbol. They reinforce their insult by writing
the slogan out: “Mcennedy. The American Way.” How do you feel about that?
The next portion provides a statement linking greedy capitalism providing the base or foundation
for a sexless and limbless lady liberty. She is either being consumed by the prison tattoo
barcode or she is emerging from it. You choose.
This particular package is for Schnitzel. The Nazi German meal of preference. Since
the universal symbol for evil has temporarily become Nazi Germany, the fact that lady liberty
is positioned in the same way as with the barcode provokes certain questions and images.
What are your impressions?
I have included a picture of an item for this example.
I am told that the French do this with other countries. I have yet to see such a product.
If it is merely an iconoclastic attack on symbols for the sake of irreverence that is
applied on all nations of the world, then I can accept the critique as humor. However,
in this case, it merely supports the myriad of anti-American examples for their organized
propaganda.
If you can furnish me with other examples of this French marketing technique, I would
be very interested to see them. Until then, I rest with my hypothesis that it is anti-American
French ***.
Or, it could just be stupid marketing to stupid people. Your call.
