MATT NICHOLS: Hey everybody my name is Matt and I'm speaking to you on behalf of Expert
Village. You've also got some other controls over your terrain as well. Over here, you've
got editing tools and there is a couple of tabs, we'll talk about that. If you want to
create a new elevation, you can go over here and click new and that's going to clear out
your screen there. What you can do is you can come down and there is a couple of different
buttons you can press. I'm going to click fractal and that's going to just create a
random fractal for me and I can select different types as well. I'm going to select [SOUNDS
LIKE] Perlin Hills and when I click that it's going to create a different type of random
fractal. There is a couple of other buttons such as if I click eroded that's going to
give me a cool little effect going on there and if you click a picture, you can actually
import JPEGs. I'm going to open the--one of the default pictures that comes with Bryce
and as you can see it creates a terrain based on the picture or the JPEG that you import.
You can also invert your terrain by clicking here and come down and there's a lot of different
other options that you can play around with here to create some really cool terrains.
If you click on the filtering tab here, it's going to give you a kind of a side view of
your object and you can do--you can create your terrain in a different view there and
when you click apply, it's going to kind of change that up and there are some defaults
here at the top that you cannot play around with. And if you click the pictures option,
you can blend together two different terrains, so if you can copy and paste one here, and
come back and adjust the elevation and again and come back to picture and blend them together,
so there's a lot of different ways that you can create terrain in Bryce.
