Okay, we should introduce each other and then it would be fun.
No, that's awkward.
Okay, so this is Zeynep--she's the Turkish delight.
This is Lani, the beautiful, intelligent feminist.
Shivani, who we don't know where she's from because she's lived everywhere.
This is the lovely Tania, the hot Latina of the group.
And I'm Hannah. I'm the only one without a smart phone.
Our friendship started in Women in Science and Engineering, freshman year in Warren.
And I guess we were trying to figure out why we're friends because we really have nothing
in common
which is what's pretty cool about our friendship.
The way we first bonded is we would have dance parties.
I think it was Hannah a lot of times.
She'd be like, dance party in my room, 15 minutes!
And then we'd all just leave what we were doing
and turn off the lights
and put on a strobe light on our laptops.
And we would have a really extreme dance party.
And then we'd go back into the real world and back to our homework like, okay, that
was fun. It relieved our stress.
Us four all live together in Allston in an apartment and she's an RA;
she was supposed to live with us and then she was chosen as an RA.
We kind of have our own traditions.
Now that we live in an apartment and we buy food..
you know, sometimes you're just in the kitchen, you're putting away your stuff,
you just made a sandwich, you have some lunch meat, you start dancing.
We dance with pastrami on our face.
I walk into the kitchen and Hannah and Zeynep are in the fridge with their deli meats.
And I was like, what actually just happened?
We decided to start this thing called Weird Wednesdays because
we needed this time during the middle of the week where we could just relax and hang out
at home.
The important part about Weird Wednesday is that we all get together,
we get to talk and we take off our pants.
We actually just have a chance to all sit in our living room,
on our couches and talk about whatever we want to talk about
and or do anything that we all want to do.
We all know, just from coming here,
how difficult it is and precious it is just to have that family time.
And I regard the time that we all spend, the five of us together,
as important to me as the five members of my immediate family.
And I know that it will continue to be difficult to see each other,
we'll all work at different places and have different schedules and lives and jobs and
significant others,
but I still think that we'll all continue to prioritize the time that we spend together
as family time.
I don't know. I can't really talk about graduation because I haven't really thought about it.
It's going to be a little bit hard. Oh, sh**.
Oh my God, you're actually crying.
I haven't really thought about it though.
We said no crying.
Okay, I'm sorry. No, I'm not going to cry. I'm sorry.
Can we just cut to a dance scene.
If we could just dance at the end,
that would be the most comfortable probably.
Dance our way out the door!
We can just cha-cha.
