Here we have a couple different variations of color for the corn snake. We have what's
commonly called a ghost corn in this hand. We have a candy cane corn snake and we have
an okeetee corn snake. Now color differences aren't really that big of a deal. They're
all the same type of animal. They're all just different color morphs they like to call them
in the reptile industry. It's an indication of genetics. And what this is going to tell
you is simply whether or not you find the animal attractive. Of course if you are into
possibly breeding the corn snake this is going to be a little bit more important to you.
Because obviously an animal that is a snow corn is going to be more likely to produce
snow corns. Whereas an animal that is a candy cane is going to be more likely to produce
them. Not a hundred percent guaranteed it will produce that type of animal but there
is a certain percentage that will come out like that. So if you are going to be looking
at breeding them in the future it's not a bad idea to look at your options now and see
what different types of colors there are. Try to see as many different as you possibly
can and find the right one for you that is going to strike your fancy. Because you are
going to have this animal for quite a long time so make sure it's going to hold your
interest and be attractive to you.
