Hi, welcome to OLBG's betting preview for the weekend Premiership fixtures.
Spurs will be well fancied at home to Newcastle on Saturday lunchtime after a 5-0 win last
year but the odds of 4/6 certainly take that into account. It's worth noting though that
Spurs have kept clean sheets in their 6 home wins against Newcastle, and with Spurs only
conceding twice in their last 4 league matches they could be a good bet to win to nil at
12/5.
Newcastle fan EricHBT' is tipping the draw at 3/1, he points out that Spurs are unbeaten
in 9 league games but he thinks Spurs haven't been as strong recently with 3 draws out of
4. With back to back wins for Newcastle he thinks the points will be shared.
Man Utd v Everton is Sunday's feature match and United should score at least once, they've
scored 10 past Everton in the last 4 home matches. Van Persie grabs most of the headlines
these days but Wayne Rooney has 4 goals in his last 3 Man Utd matches and also netted
for England in midweek so he looks a good bet to score anytime at 6/5.
OLBG member 'ssforte44' has gone for the draw in this game at 3/1, he reckons Man Utd
might rest a few players with one eye on their midweek game against Real Madrid and with
Everton drawing here last year he can see history being repeated.
