Hi everyone! This is Ann Clemmer and Stamper from stamperdog.com and if you've got 4 minutes,
we'd like to show you how to make a happy card out of all this! I mean, we're going
to start off with a free stamp set. How cool is that! And right now, it's February 8, 2014
and you can get this stamp set for free with a $50 order in our online store. Now, we're
really happy today because this is my 15th anniversary with Stampin' Up! and that makes
me VERY happy. And I'm going to cut that out with the framelit. And we're going to, you
know, get started on this card. We're going to start by folding this half
sheet of Whisper White in half to 5-1/2 by 4-1/4 and then we're going to take this piece
of Basic Gray that we've cut a half inch smaller so that we have a really wide border and we've
run it through the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. And that's something else that you
can get free right now with a $50 order. Now remember that these are limited time specials.
And so, we like to put these on with liquid glue because it gives you a lot of hang time
to get that piece of card stock on there straight. And it works better than SNAIL adhesive on
textured card stock. So hey! We're going to put that on and we're
going to go and use another framelit on this piece of Summer Starfruit and that's going
to be our sun. Now look, all I did was - I'm just holding it so that I could get a good
straight cut on here. And then, when I put it on the front of the card - now remember
I have a wide border on this. But we're going to put this down so that it's just like a
regular border and you see I've got the Dimensionals on there. That's going to be hanging out there
where a regular border would be. I don't want it on the edge of the card because I don't
want it to get caught on anything. So here we go. Here's another set of Framelits! And
all this stuff is going to be listed on the dog's blog because he wouldn't have it any
other way! And this one we're going to put on with the
liquid glue again because we're going to just scritch it up there underneath that sun. This
is going to have a lot of dimension on it and we lit it that way! So these clouds are
made from framelits that are supposed to be for word bubbles. I mean, how bizarre is that?
But that's the cool thing about paper crafting. Is that you can make anything you want into
anything you want. And we're not using just Whisper White on this. We did on the greeting
but the clouds are made with the sparkling shimmery white paper and that's really much
better. Now we're going to take one of our coordinating
markers in Summer Starfruit and color in that sun because we know he's up there somewhere!
We just don't want to see him right now because we want all the rain we can get in Northern
California as we've been through a really big drought. And so anyway, now I'm going
to take just an inch of the ribbon and I'm going to attach it together with a glue dot
and then I'm going to attach it to the back of the greeting with another glue dot. And
then remember, I'm going to go and line up those chevron stripes with the little part
that pokes out from the greeting. And I think that that is a pretty fine card in 4 minutes.
If you'd like to have more information on this card - and we'd love to show you all
the supplies - just drop by stamperdog.com. You can use the link that's in the comments
and that will take you directly to the exact post where you can get everything you need.
