WALKER: Psst. Over here. Well you can’t really see us since we’re on the radio.
RYDER: But we're the icons on traffic signs that help you get to where you need to go.
CARLY: That guy on the pedestrian sign? That's Walker.
WALKER Yo.
CARLY: The one on the bike sign? That's Ryder.
RYDER: 'sup?
CARLY: And I’m Carly! The one on the car sign.
RYDER: We spend a lot of time watching you walk, ride and drive.
CARLY: And we'd like to help you be safe.
WALKER: When you're walking be sure to pay attention to what's around you.
RYDER: Like when you're crossing the street, look in front and over your shoulder as well
as both ways.
CARLY: Be aware of turning vehicles, they may be looking away from you to check traffic
and not paying attention to you.
WALKER: And don't enter a crosswalk until you are ready to cross the street, for crying
out loud! If you're standing in the street, drivers don't know what you're going to do.
RYDER: Lastly, be sure to wear bright clothing while you're out at night. It helps drivers
see you.
CARLY: Remember, whether you walk, ride or drive: Share the road. Arrive alive.
WALKER: Sponsored by Caltrans with funding from the Federal Highway Administration, aired
by the California Broadcasters.
