Ever since I was young I was a motor crosser. I wanted to be a motor crosser.
I lived, eat,
sleep motocross.
I didn't plan on going to school
beyond high school.
My main interest was to
get home and practice dirt bikes so that I could go home and I could do well in my racing.
That was my plan from the beginning.
Going on a mission and coming back
I realized the value of education.
I realized that
the Lord wanted me to get an education.
When I was in San Diego last summer
going to school and
I felt...
I enjoyed getting the education I always felt like it was always a struggle.
During the week I felt like I was always being tried spiritually
while I was trying to learn secularly.
I was selling in Central California
over the summer and I spoke with my branch president. He told me that
somebody from our ward had gone to LDS Business College.
I looked into it,
I decided to apply.
I definitely want to go to a CES school.
LDS Business College was
actually just what I was looking for.
Being here
at LDS Business College so far since I've been here I've felt...
I've felt like I'm family.
I feel like I'm doing more things now than I've ever done.
Yet, I'm only me.
I know that there's
the help from heaven that's involved here.
I didn't think I could do college.
I didn't think school was for me.
It's not easy for me,
it never was.
I don't know if it ever will be.
But if it's something that the Lord has asked us to do,
the Lord will help us.
Throughout my life I've seen God's hand...
And in the process of me
and my goals
of going from wanting to be a professional motocrosser and being a motocross and supercross champion
to now wanting to be a business professional.
And wanting to provide for myself and a family in that way through
getting an education.
I'll be able to be prepared for the changing world.
I'll be able to have a career and I'll be able to have the experiences and...
I'll be able to be the person I want to be.
My experience at LDS Business College has been one of
change and elevation for the better.
My experience
at LDS Business College has been one of growth, of friendship and fellowship.
My experience at LDS Business College has been
one that has helped me
better realize
and work toward my potential.
My name is Jesse Casillas and this is my experience.
