SARAH:Hi, I'm Sarah from Marketing,
and today I'm reviewing the Rambo Duo Turnout Blanket.
My very favorite thing is how much my horse loves it and how
adorable he looks when he's all snuggled up on the coldest
nights of the year. He is going to be 29 this year
but as he's gotten older I've gotten more concerned with his
ability to keep himself warm. So this winter when we had weeks
at a time that were dropping below zero, I was concerned that
his heavy weight blanket wasn't going to be quite enough.
And so that's where I turned to the Rambo Duo Turnout Blanket
which has a whopping 400 grams of fill when you combine
the blanket liner and the outer shell. So one of my
favorite things about this blanket is the versatility.
The liner is easily removable but also really well-secured
when it's in place so I never worry that it's going to bunch
or twist or get disconnected.
And the fact that it's removable means that I can use just
the shell as 100 gram turnout blanket, or I can use it
with the liner and that makes it all the way up to 400 grams
or if I wanted I could use the liner by itself, when he's in at
night as a stable blanket. The neck rug is easily
detachable but also really well secured when it's on and I can
feel comfortable leaving him in it overnight, leaving him out.
It's nice to know that it's waterproof
and breathable so I know he's protected from the elements
but still comfortable. The other thing that I would be
remiss if I did not mention is that this blanket
because it's top of the line Horseware Ireland blanket came
standard with their PVC coated tail cord,
which was life changing. Remember Cody is going to be 29
and so the old tail cords could get pretty nasty. But this one
having the PVC coating is super easy to just rinse off
or wipe off. When I say it's life changing, I replaced all
of my other turnout blanket's tail cords with these ones.
This blanket would be perfect for any horse owner who wants
a top of the line blanket in terms of both quality
and warmth. As for care and maintenance, I simply brush
it off with a stiff brush if Cody's been rolling
or sleeping in his poop and at the end of this season I'll send
it along with the rest of my turnouts to the horse laundromat
because it can be washed and hung to dry as normal.
Even with the additional layers this blanket runs very true
to size. So for me the 81 fits my size 8o horse perfectly.
I'm Sarah, and the Rambo Duo Turnout Blanket
is the heavyweight champ of my horses winter wardrobe.
