Today we are going to look at the error codes for Mitsubishi DLP TVs. If the status LED
shows a consistent green light it means that the power is on, on the TV. If the status
LED shows a steady red that means the lamp has failed and will need to be replaced. If
the status LED shows a steady yellow, that means the DMD temperature has gotten too hot.
If the status LED is blinking yellow, that means the lamp cover is open. If the status
LED is blinking red and then blinks yellow, that means you will need to follow that code
to find the problem with the TV. We will now look at those error codes and go over the
different diagnosis for each code. The error codes go based on the number of red blinks
and then yellow blinks. For example if you have 3 red blinks and seven yellow blinks,
the error code number will be 37. The first code is 1 6. 1 red blink and six yellow blinks.
The most likely problem will be that the color wheel has failed. Another common code would
be 34. 3 red blinks and 4 yellow blinks. Some common symptoms for the 34 code would be the
lamp turns off while the TV is playing or the lamp fails and will not turn on. The most
likely cause for this is that the lamp has failed and will need to be replaced. Lamp
code 36 would be 3 red blnks and 6 yellow blinks. For this the most common symptom would
be that the exhaust fan is not rotating. You will want to check your exhaust fan to see
if it has any loose connections or anything blocking the fan. The next code is 37. 3 red
blinks and 7 yellow blinks. This code shows that the DMD fan is not rotating. You will
want to check the DMD fan to be sure that it is clean and has nothing blocking it from
rotating. The next code would be 57, that is 5 red blinks and 7 yellow blinks. This
code, 57 shows a ballast problem. Most likely the ballast has failed and you will need to
replace it. The last code would be 66. That is 6 red blinks and 6 yellow blinks. The description
would be that there is no lamp in the TV or a disconnected cable between the ballast and
lamp. To fix this, you will want to replace the lamp and check that the connections between
the lead wire and the lamp are good. Thank you for watching one of our many tutorials
