I’ve been using the 300V since its creation in 1971.
The 300V had already become a reference in terms of engine oils.
Every single one of the British motorists I have met have all tested this revolutionary oil in Le Mans and it became a true reference.
My best memory with the 300V is of course as a team manager : 3 podiums in Le mans, fantastic memories!
Porsche Kremer is currently a greatly evolving car racing team, going from tradition to modernity.
We have been more and more in contact since the 1990’s.
We have now been using the 300V for many years and it has been a great asset in the most difficult conditions.
My discipline is Drag Racing.
Impacts of lubricants are quite severe in terms of the amount of stress that is produced by the high horse power and torque.
The runs only last a set of a few seconds. The engine oil temperature and the viscosity has to be absolutely right to produce the perfect run.
Those engine oils are tested to absolute extremes
We're running with Motul for the 6th year. We have a technical partnership with Motul. Running here at Pikes Peak is a pretty extreme test.
For us running here on the hill, getting the car at the top of the hill at the power level we're running,
it's a bit of a challenge. Keeping the engine cool! There is very low oxygen at 3600-4200 metres,
so the engine might overheat, oil temperature might overheat. Everything is on the edge.
So the 300V is our oil of choice.
Certainly, lubricants are not the only key to success,
but it has a great deal to do with it,
especially when it comes to oil viscosity
We consider lubricants to be as important as the engine parts.
Motul does help us by providing us with high quality lubricants.
According to our experiences, the 300V offers an optimal protection against wear,
both during cold ignitions and with hot running engines.
Our daily work also includes engine overhauls, especially after races occurring in extreme conditions.
We know, according to our experiences, that the deposits are minimal with the 300V.
In general, Porsche Kremer highly recommends the brand Motul and its 300V.
Motul provides us with high quality lubricants
as well as technical know-how.
What characterizes our relationships the most, is that
we share the same passion, the spirit of competition.
The last evolutions of the 300V
are the result of an ongoing development process started 4 years ago.
The 6 viscosity grades that already existed have been reformulated. We have added 2 viscosity grades:
A 0W40, mainly to optimize power and reliability
and a 0W15, with power as a goal, to be at top places on a starting grid.
The 300V power and reliability, is obtained by the exclusive mix of an optimized additives' package with Motul latest technology: the Ester Core.
Motul offered to test the latest 300V evolution. We first put it through dyno test.
The first tests showed a nearly constant viscosity over 24 hours and a very low oil consumption all through the cycle.
We then tested it on the track and we were soon able to confirm this power gain.
An increase in performance from 4 ti 7 horses, the equivalent of 1 to 1.5% of a 400 horsepower engine.
And above all we could rely on the quality of lubrification at high temperature to keep the engine going strongly over the 24 hours.
Which is outstanding compared to the oils we had previously tested.
