This week’s challenge hinges on making November a better month - forgetting the dark evenings,
the darker mornings and the determined chill in the air. But are there any apps to make
November a more delightful month? The problem with October is that you wait
an entire month for Halloween to come along and when it finally arrives, November cruelly
snatches it away when it’s only just started. November, you suck. But thanks to Rovio you
can now make Halloween last all November long thanks to Angry Birds Halloween. If you’ve
long since tired of the one hundred and ninety five levels the classic has to offer, you’ll
find forty five more for your pig smashing fingers to get to grips with. It’s got all
your classic Angry Bird features, but with added pumpkins, lanterns and spooky music.
Yes, this update will cost you another 59p, but that’s a small price to pay for an extended
Halloween. November is about the leaves changing colour,
long walks where you can see your breath and fireworks - what better app than a camera
app, to capture all of the above in stunning trickery. MonoColorMe is an app that allows
you to pick one colour in your photo to be the standout colour, whilst the rest is converted
to black and white. Unlike other apps that promise this function, this one genuinely
is a piece of cake to use - just drag the dropper to the relevant colour, and let go.
You can resize the dropper, and also change the brightness and contrast, for added effect.
Will it stop you from feeling the effects of having to get up whilst it’s still dark?
Probably not, but it might help bring a little streak of colour to your life.
