Hi, I'm Peter! We're checking out GV guitars.
Shepherd is the firs De Luxe model of the Vincent Series.
As you can see, it is a half-massive guitar.
The body is made from maple with mahogany top.
The neck is similar to the Vincent series
It is made from maple and ash with fingerboard from tiger wood.
Which very nicely fits into the whole design.
The neck is double reinforced,
Instead of veneers, carbon fiber was used,
also 2 carbon rods are installed, next to the standard rod.
This makes the neck more harder and stable.
The electronics are pretty unique too.
It's got handmade Kent Armstrong humbucker pickups.
Instead of toggle switch there is a blend pot, which allows very slight changes.
Thus it is possible, to mix out the best sound which will suit you.
Most of the hardwares are Schaller.
The Da Vinci tuners are very nice, and with the fine-tuning fixed bridge the guitar will always be in tune.
With these parts and the double reinforced neck the guitar allows to set up extreme low action.
Also the fret ends are hemispheric,
which are far more comfortable, than the standard ones.
In my opinion, I think with Sheperd the GV guys made something really extraordinary.
