Hello and welcome, my name is Bryan Fisher from Fishapotamous, Inc, uh, you can find
me at www.fishapotamous.com, that's f i s h a p o t a m o u s. I will work on an easier
link for these videos so you don't have to type all that in. But anyway, the last game,
or the game that I'm working on which is generic name Falling from Sky, showed a 2D, um, sort
of a 2D layout of the game of how I envisioned the game at first and after playing with it
for a little bit and eventually getting it over to the iPhone or iOS and figuring how
to do more things from there, I realized that it wasn't exactly what I enjoyed, or generally
enjoyed playing it. In my head, I had always envisioned some sort of meteor or person,
falling from the sky burning up, and what I decided to do is this time I made it sort
of similar to a game called Starfox which was for the Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64.
I think it came out for Gamecube. Um, but anyway what it involved is you kindof fly
through these hoops and so I'll just give a run down of how it looks, and you can see
down in the bottom left, um, I've got my controls moving around. I can move the character or
the meteor as things come and approach so it kindof looks like he's traveling forward.
I still have to figure out to get the character to feel like he's falling down, uh, straight
down, but so far these little cube things are powerups. These little rotating sphere
or octagons are something I envisioned of some sort of reward for getting through. I've
got clouds over there, the, it's not all aligned as you can tell it's not in the area that
he's free falling from, it's kindof off to the left there so I've got to make that adjustment.
But that's kindof how it looks like so far. You can see over in the top left here, that
this area right here, this is a neat trick I've learned. I can layout where the camera
see's it's boundaries. So this red and blue boundary is actually this red and blue boundary,
or this blue and red boundary that would be in the bottom left here, so that allows me
to restrain the movement of the character only in those areas. So now I just need to
adjust it so that everything that is falling goes through this, or everything that I want
to interact with that's falling, goes through these two red and blue lines as you play the
game. So that's it so far, you can check me out once again at www.fishapotamous.com. I
appreciate it, thanks for watching. Bye.
